I traded Hopgood out when he scored mid-30's, didn't trade him back in for months on end of big scores, and the week I bring him back in he's back to mid 30's. I'm going to put my head into the oven for the remainder of the evening.

Make sure it's turned off mate. Night sounds rough enough as it is Evil or Very Mad

Bloody rough game Booze. Still got a good lead though mate and one less player played than 2nd and 3rd.

I see Ando has Matto too Sad

Yeah was the right move for H2H mate. 7th highest averaging player for the season and 2nd EDG. I didn't consider trading him out for Cleary a few weeks ago. Hopefully will still have a trade Rd 27 to bring back Carrigan/Preston or someone for him.

Put your head in mine, it stopped working a couple of days ago. New one won't be hooked up until Monday. Head in oven is a safe space in my house. Talk away your troubles while you're here.

Haha, thanks mate. Leads me into a few thoughts that have been bouncing around my head over the last couple of weeks-

Appreciate most folk here are here for the Overall party, but any other H2H campaigners find that they abandon the game-plan that got them to finals once the finals start?

You get to the finals by not making stupid sideways trades and building that bank, but once the finals start, basically every trade you do is sideways and has a potential to end your season.

Broke even last week with Manu to Latrell, but now I dread what Manu (whom everyone else still has) will do this week and next. And this week I've shot myself in the foot trading Hopgood in for Ipap/Preston.

And now I ask myself, is it better just to finish the H2H season with 8 trades in hand and only trade for injuries? Who knows?

Just the disgruntled thoughts of a not-quite-broken-yet, but heavily dismantled man on the brink of a sad defeat.

Yeah, I thought for sure his floor was what Ipap/Preston would put up this week. 28 at half time looked on the money. The joys of Fantasy, ay.

I'm not a H2H player. Always been about overall. And you should too, it's the ultimate, in my very biased opinion.

8 trades left seems like plenty though, even for H2H. In my whatsapp group, the guy that plays h2h i think has much less than that. Go hard my friend.

    HIA, or serious injury?

I was a H2H player in the past, but slowly started focusing more on overall after seeing most overall teams are gunned up by the time H2H finals start. This is the first season I've solely focused on overall and it seems to have paid off in the couple of H2Hs I'm in. It would cause me to miss out on certain cows everyone was getting aswell as avoiding some elite guns until after origin, but I'd usually pissed away my trades by then and/or couldn't afford them.

I think holding trades just for blocking plays in the final game or two when you're up, or need to take a shot to win is about as much strategy as you can really do.

Fractured cheekbone I think it was. Won’t be seeing him back for fantasy purposes this year
