Yeah ive never given much thought to who finishes first on the ladder. I dont think its that important.

Wasnt the cash prize for minor premiership a fairly recent thing?

I remember when the Dragons finished top in 2009 and were rewarded with playing the Eels with Hayne in Dally M form in week 1, followed by playing Brisbane at Suncorp in week 2.

The McIntyre system was a travesty of a format.

I mean that’s kind of my point? In a vacuum, finishing first over a 27-game season is more impressive than winning a 4-week knockout tournament, I get that the visual of last team standing is ingrained into sports as the big moment of glory but I still feel like being top of the table at the end of regular season should be an achievement that deserves more respect and recognition than it gets.

Broncos/Storm game going to be funny with the Broncs trying to lose because they don't want to play the Storm next week and the Storm trying to lose because they do want to play the Broncos.

Will be extra-amusing if the Broncs "win" by losing and go on to get towelled up by the Warriors.

If I was in Robbos shoes, it's a big enough game to risk Manu and carry a replacement on the bench

I really don’t think there’s too much stock placed in trying to dodge teams, if a team is good enough to win the whole thing you’re going to have to beat them at some point.

I remember that it's never been the Wests Tigers, or the Cowboys for that matter.

Feels like each year it's been between the Panthers, Storm or Roosters for quite some time

Courier Mail apparently saying Cobbo, Farnworth, Mam, Capewell, Walsh, Haas rested, along with Staggs (suspended) and ARey/Carrigan (injured).

Papenhuyzen would be a "fun" one-week punt...

Sharks v Bunnies is a possibility, albeit slightly, in the semi's, right ?

Reminds me of that south park baseball episode where the kids purposely try to lose but keep winning and Randy fights all the dads in the crowd.

Could easily see Broncos resting players and then getting pumped in W1 of the finals anyway.

If Papy is named to play, I'll probably spend my last trade on him

Do we think Shaun Johnson will play?

This is bad I’m likely without Hopgood, Penis, Grant, Ponga, Haas, Colouqhun, Manu, Walsh and Horse.

That’s fielding 12 and say Cleary and SJ are rested I’ll be fielding 10 including Seb Kris.

So totally fucked, and I know many are in the same boat!

I didn't own JDB at all but it's mainly because I'm bad at fantasy and structured my squad wrong so couldn't carry another MID

Think this week more than most it's important to lock in an early VC

Could be plenty of late withdrawals once the ladder shakes out
