If I was any of the 14 teams above, I'd rather play the Bulldogs than Dragons or Tigers every week tbh

    I totally agree.

Somehow the Bulldogs managed to win the close ones against similarly poorish teams; beat the Dolphins and Cowboys (when they were playing poorly) by 1, the Dragons and Titans by 2, and the Tigers by 4.

Some minor referee interpretational shifts, or a ball bounce and half those results go the other way and we unveil a different wooden spoon (not to suggest that the Tigers don't deserve it, they do).

They've conceded 30+ points 14 times, and 40+ points on 7 occasions. By comparison, the actual wooden spooners conceded 30+ points half at many times (7), and 40+ points on just 2 occasions (once to the Broncos and the other one I can't remember). Not that it's all about defense, but it usually is a good tell that a team is not working well as a team.

I believe the reason to my relative success compared to other seasons was not being selected at all in fantasy fantasy this year. A burden lifted for the boys

After a shaky start, I'm glad Isaako came through for you (and is even one of those rare green dots I've read about)

Haha I’ve been keeping his name quiet in case the good fortune disappears. Need one more big outing against the Wahs this weekend and all will be forgiven

I actually have always started the season really well

My 2 worst finishes recently in 2021 and 2023 were let down by pre-Origin and bye rounds (though around 1500 in 2021 and probably somewhere around 2000 this year isn’t too bad)

IN THE ABSENCE OF TRADES, HERE'S A POINTLESS GUESSING GAME

There are 15 NRL Player bobbleheads currently available in the NRL Shop

Whoever can guess the most players (NO CHEATING - HONOUR SYSTEM)* can have my avatar for Finals week 1.

To help with the task, the clubs represented are:
    Eels x2
    Broncos x2
    Rabbitohs x2
    Dragons
    Tigers
    Bulldogs
    Cowboys
    Sea Eagles
    Roosters
    Knights
    Raiders
    Titans

I haven't really thought this through, but I think it should work.

*cheating will be determined by the vibe and I am the sole judge, jury and executioner.

EDIT: I have no sense how hard this is, I think people could jag 7-10 pretty easily. But if the guesses are really low, I'll give some more hints

I can't enter this as I was looking through the NRL shop a few months back and saw them and can remember most.

Looking forward to everyone else's guess though.

I didn't think they would be top 8 but surprised how terrible they have been. Adding a top class hooker is normally worth a few wins on its own

Pappy feels like a fun punt but could be anything between 30 and 100.

    Maybe a Cook/Nutcher is a better option for a 50 to 70??
