Even if I had 4 trades I would have still been utterly fucked

Is this the least number this week? Can we give Camo a prize?

What is the fewest amount of green dots by someone with a decent rank (say top 5000)

If Cleary and Hynes both pull out, there will be some teams with very low scores this week.

I'd be tempted to put the captaincy (or at least vice-captaincy) on someone playing tonight just to guarantee getting a score. But that would mean having someone actually taking the field

If you turn over your playing roster multiple times in the last few seasons, change your coaching staff multiple times and results get worse while simultaneously showing absolutely no signs of progress then it's probably not the players fault.

To change the culture and playing style/results at a club requires solid recruitment, patience and above all 'buy in' from the playing group.

If you're getting a large percentage of the players offside and the current regime has recruited those players in the last few season then you're doing at least some of those things pretty badly.

I'm going to blame Phil Gould (based on nothing but my personal bias).

While he may have got the ball rolling at Penrith, and for that he deserves some credit, they weren't able to take the next step until they sidelined him.

As a qualification, I know nothing (but even I can see that Matt Burton, while very good at Rugby League, is not a player to base a team around)

Not sure why I give a shit....I think it's because everytime I look at fox sports the agendas they push are so obvious it annoys me.

It was surprising to me twelve ish months ago when everyone was talking up the dogs for 2023 based on a couple of overhyped signings. Just never looked like they had the squad to me.

Eli Katoa also got rested after being named

Don’t think anyone has him but would have been a good 1 week punt to trade in

3 are also Panthers players who could drop out if it’s a dead rubber

Hilariously my season is summed up by using last trade on Harrison Graham as a perennial red dot to improve depth only for him to return the next week

VC Murray is a good shout. One of the few you can almost guarantee won't be a late resting, given it's the only game that actually matters.

Like the Tigers, I thought that the signings were enough that they would improve. Not that they'd go straight to title contenders, but certainly thought both teams would manage to do better than they did last year.

Both teams have been very disappointing.

I don’t know if I want the C or VC to go either of Cleary/Hynes.

Might do Papy/Murray just to be safe this week and then let the carnage ensue around those two

I think Hynes doesn’t play unless absolutely necessary, and doesn’t kick goals

Cleary probably does but maybe not.

I’m looking at the Fifita/DCE combo, in some order. Cleary plus one of those also makes sense

Eyeballing MTBs list there are 3 8s with no trades in the top 100, but they are all 8 starters. So Camo might have them covered for shitness

I think C in Hynes/Cleary is fine, just make sure you have VC on someone more likely to play. DCE, Murray are good options, I've also considered McInnes

Yeah, signing Kikau and Mahoney, getting a new coach, and uncovering Preston should be enough to buy you at least some improvement. Instead they've gone from 7 wins in 2022 to....7 wins in 2023.

If I was in a H2H I would be a better matchup than the Dragons

But it's always closer than predicted....you don't give away many points to opposition CTRs

Worse 7 wins this year seems like overachieving

16th in attack, 17th in defence, 17th in points diff

If I was any of the 14 teams above, I'd rather play the Bulldogs than Dragons or Tigers every week tbh

I think we should lighten Camo's burden.  I'm happy to take his fantasy fantasy crown off his hands... or head I suppose Twisted Evil

Camo will be my first picked in fantasy fantasy next year though. Due a reversal of fortune.
