Standard wants it.
Snatch doesn't want it.
But in the words of the famous poet Mick Jagger, you can't always get what you want.

(wow, they really finished that high in the rankings?!)
This was an incredibly tight award. Just 1 vote separated the top 5 nominations;
Honourable mentions go to: Mulvy, Liverpool Bulldog and Danseels
The Gold medal award will be shared by two fanatics;
Congratulations to: robelgordo and to Mattnz
May your good form continue into 2024!
I dunno how I feel about this. Thanks I guess?
I did overachieve though. Beat pretty much all of you once, and most of you twice with my Autofill team ranking high enough to get into L3 if it was allowed

Exclusive news that the poster of the year - if Aus/NZ based - will win a $250 NRL shop voucher courtesy of me (and no, this isn't a late bid for the softcock award, I won one and can't use it or even seemingly give it away..)

Thanks lads I’m honoured and you forgot ET and hatred of the Roosters loleasytiger wrote:MOST BIASED POSTER
This year three members displayed an impressive amount of biasednessness.
The Bronze medal goes to a fan whose deep love for the Broncos can come across as more than a little biased: Syn13
The Silver medal goes to a huge fan of any players in his fantasy team, an incredible level of bias: Mattnz
But in the end, there can only be one with truly Gold medal levels of biased;
- The 2023 most bias poster of them all:
PS> I hope you enjoyed that Mulvy

Re: 2023 NRL FANATICS AWARDS
CONTRIBUTOR OF THE YEAR:
(Best continual contribution through stats, advice etc)
This was a heavily supported category with the top 5 nominees all receiving 5+ votes.
An honourable mention to MilchCow in 4th; always a great contributor and providing breakevens in both NRL Fantasy and VSDT all year round.
The Bronze medal goes to Robelgordo - Part of the team that makes sure you get any late team changes, and always ready to remind you not to bet Fantasy points against the Dragons
Taking the Silver is the creator of the beloved yafss.com website; Ynot - I honestly can't imagine Fantasy without seeing what the top 1k are up to and how we're travelling compared to projections. He also happens to be the go to for the good oil on the NRLW.
There could be no stopping our Gold medal contributor of the year: my tv broke - picking up his third award and starting to look like the Michael Phelps of the Fanatics awards.
The creator of the much beloved footystatistics.com website that has become a landmark in the greater Fantasy community, and a brilliant poster every week - well deserved!
Thank you to all our great contributors, there really is much more depth than just the award winners here, so a pat on the back to everyone who helps make this place what it is.

Congrats to all the worthy winners here, absolutely deserved, this place wouldn't be what it is without you.easytiger wrote:CONTRIBUTOR OF THE YEAR:

I'd also like to give a shoutout to those Fanatics that run games/comps/events in their own time:
- ET: This years awards, Lord of the Byes
- Moanaman: Autofill league
- CM: Fantasy Fantasy
- Rob: Eliminator
- Chewie: Finals Fantasy
- All the draft convenors
- Space saver for someone I've no doubt overlooked

Re: 2023 NRL FANATICS AWARDS
ROOKIE POSTER OF THE YEAR:
Not since the class of 2020 have such a wonderful collection of Rookie posters made their mark.
Our forum is a better place for having you become part of this community.
It is a testament to the quality of our rookie posters, that the Rookie of the year category received more votes than any other category except the poster & contributor of the year categories.
It was impossible to split a late run by Obbeats from Robertneville and they will have to share the Silver medal.
However, it was our early season overall table-topping Rookie Greenschist that takes home the Gold for being the Rookie poster of the year.
Well done on a great season!
