Non-Cleary captainers will want him to play and score low even though they'll all own him for a single score.

FWIW hard to see a world where he doesn't play, and almost as hard to see one where he doesn't post a 70+, but as a DCE guy pretty pleased to have points in the bank for now.

That's pretty unlucky tbh. And I of course had no idea Garrick would go down and Koula would be getting banners from FB.

I am pretty happy with my thought process though when the decision came as to how to set up my team post origin 3. Some including myself were considering selling Null before he lost cash. Koula owners had to decide whether to park him down at position 20, or sell to liberate the 100k or so of value. I decided that the trades were more valuable and their dpp was invaluable and made for really good depth and flexibility.

The plan was that I had one good cover for five positions (Null covers both positions via Manu), given that we seem to need cover every week. And one bad cover (Koula) that covers both positions. It's also why I kept Manu, to make that system work, selling Drinkwater to Edwards instead get the Cleary cash. That last part hasn't gone the best, but owning Cleary makes up for it. It also meant with less cash, opting for arguably lower quality 17th/18th men, Nikora/Cheese. But I think overall a well rounded team.

Certainly if you get injuries like owners of Garrick, Kris, Sami etc it all goes out the window and I'm pretty lucky in that respect.

What I take from this is, whilst I've made plenty of bad trades (Cleary out in rd3 and in again for example), in this example I've saved two trades and accepted an only slightly weaker, but well rounded team, when the temptation would have been to trade green dots, one of them possibly to a cheap nuffie who ends up a red dot. This is something I will try to replicate in the future, and I'll try to avoid those poor ones (like the Cleary one)

I'd be happy with a 70. I'd be even happier with a 40 in a flogging from the Cowboys however unlikely.

Cleary and Hynes captainers will probably claw some of that back. Kinda hoping they both have the week off to prep for finals footy
