I'm shocked he didn't just grab both Murray and Bula, then Booze doesn't have a single POD on him.
Timoko, Burbo, Graham, Robson as PODs - they score +74 in most universes (provided their captains score relatively similar).

Surely he goes Murray to match Booze
I missed that he didn't have Murray. Yes.
Yafss recording that he's locked his two trades already. Tino and Murray .

Now, Bula has a chance to score 100 and shatter Beaver's dreams.

Every chance* Tino gets a 1st minute HIA and Bula goes big. Why risk it?my tv broke wrote:

*Clearly the chance is very low

Beavers probably had a pretty stressful week.
We've been here making jokes about red dots and no trades. He's spent all week in a theoretically strong position but having to work out the best 2 trades to maximise chances.

I did say back when we were talking about Booze "podding" captain DCE that Beavers would probably captain DCE anyway because it's the safest choice for the most points this this week. Now the question is who he brings on with his two trades. I'd probably go Tino and JDB in his position, but he might get smartarse and get Bula to match Booze.
He should match Booze's players during the round, if his additional players are scoring well enough to get the victory, it is the optimal game theory.

I was about to say I don't envy it, but a chance to win the comp in the final round, I definitely envy the chance at that glory.Milchcow wrote:

Well he's traded out Haas, so that's one trade he can't change (presumably to Murray). Who else did he trade out?mattnz wrote:

Yep, the writing on the wall was earlier but can at least hopefully hold onto second
Even told Brenton (5th) that he would make those 3 plays around 7pm as i would do the same haha
vs 3rd place Fung its
Him = Tapine,HGraham,Koula + 1trade
Me = NButcher,Ipap,Bula + 104pts
Just going to enjoy the rest of the week of footy and cheer on Bula now haha

Hes traded SJ.
So im guessing he did haas to tino since tino is showing up.. and Sj to VC Murray
Which is a strange way to set it up.. ?
Would have traded hopgood and given flexibility to reverse

Murray and Bula play before all his PODs bar burbo.
If he matches Booze he has to make that call early
Matching Murray certainly makes sense. I'm not sure I'd match Bula
Robson goes down early and his PODs don't look as certain as they might do

Yeah for sure, with Hopgood and SJ you'd be able to afford any two you want you'd thinkmy tv broke wrote:

Tino takes the first hit up and violently raises his elbow, but clean misses. Ref deems intent was there and bins him.. Tino grabs the ref by the jersey and strings together a series of slurs, resulting in a send off to go with the bin.

SJ. Not that it'll probably matter but he probably shouldn't have locked in his second trade in case Tino a late out. And yes, optimally he should have brought in Bula. This makes us better than him at this game, I guess?
