Realistically few people would have expected the Wahs to win, on the other hand, the Storm were a massive disappointment at full strength

Lindsey Collins is perhaps the most underrated forward in the comp (and he's quite well rated). The future of the Roosters and I hope we keep him!

Hunt's been a beast tonight, he should get more minutes next year I'd imagine.

Think rejecting the 2 points with 1 minute left was a pretty dumb decision. Don't reckon we score a try 1/3 times in that scenario. 2 points was the play (not being captain hindsight, called it live)

Agree and also called it at the time. Flanagan on comms said it's obvious you go for the try but he's only a coach and doesn't know probability like we do on here.

Not convinced Flanno even knows how to use a spreadsheet
Embarrassed for him

All three fullbacks off: Teddy, Manu, Sua'ali'i
Maybe now it's time for super fullback Lindsay Collins to shine

Real brain explosion from Teddy there, not necessary.
But all comes from Walker's poor kick on the 4th tackle when they had Sharks on the ropes.

Also lol that Blocker keeps insisting Billy Smith is off the field for HIA. Has been out there the whole time right?

Those two points might have been useful

Great game. Sharks must feel like they let that one get away for sure but credit to Roosters digging really deep.
Wong was very good.

Nicho is a great player but really struggles owning those big moments, those field goal attempts were way too telegraphed and needed to come off the boot a lot quicker, stepped into both of them like he was at a training run with all the time in the world and you could see the chargedowns coming from a mile away

Dude, I'm over the moon with our performance. The best game I've ever seen Radley play. He was immense. All the boys worked so hard for each other, epitomised by Collins' chase on Trindall down the sideline when even Teddy didn't have the fuel to catch him. Sandon Smith was amazing, BS9 worked incredibly hard through the middle, Pauga was To'o-esque. It was a really impressive performance (especially in the second half) and I'm so proud to be a Rooster tonight!rhinoceroo wrote:What a fucking great victory that was.
He really was! A very lucky try of course, but he had to be athletic and energetic enough to be there and get there for the try. Other than that moment he was strong in defence, and looking for work in attack. A few mistakes defensively in the centres, but that's to be expected from a young, inexperienced backrower. It's not like he's Cam Murray or Yeo who's got plenty of experience in the centres. So happy for him and he played great.BCT05 wrote:Great game. They did seem to take ages I agree. Watched both charge downs a few times after the game and I'm shocked at how quickly Teddy and Keary ran for the charge down. Those guys are just incredible competitors and worked their arses off all game. So proud of them. What a night to be a Rooster!syn13 wrote:Nicho is a great player but really struggles owning those big moments, those field goal attempts were way too telegraphed and needed to come off the boot a lot quicker, stepped into both of them like he was at a training run with all the time in the world and you could see the chargedowns coming from a mile away

Woah, those arvo beers went on for a while. Sunlit Sounds Festival (tiny suburban festival in Brisbane) highly recommended yet again. Football has been good this weekend. Still can’t believe the roosters won that.

1. Broncos look bloody good. They've got a bit of swagger about them. Seem like great mates. Remind me a lot of Penrith a couple of years ago, but with even more x-factor which is ridiculous. Going to be hard to stop.
2. Penrith playing to their structures as usual, but surprisingly it was Cleary who broke the mould a bit. He was on fire. Granted, the Warriors seemed to kind of just watch him.
3. Sharks really let that one go. Gritty effort from the Chooks but damn. The Sharks probably need to look for an x-factor player who can play fullback. No idea who that could be for them. Secondly, when it counted, they fell apart.

Well done to the Roosters, and their supporters. Great win, really hung in. I thought Wade was immense, a defensive beast.
