Statistically there isn't much reason to pick him but I think he passes the eye test and he picked up his game a lot in the middle of last year after Billy gave him a talking to.

Guys like that are entirely vibes based, Walsh was a similar pick last year

A few of those teams are much closer to full strength than I expected. Dragons going all out for the Charity Shield!

Still hard to get a read on most stuff e.g. Bulldogs team might mean Burton to CTR and Hutcho behind Sexton. Or it could be that is their legit preferred halves combo.

Lucy confirmed?  I still suspect RFM is a bench MID these days rather than EDG and Lucy coming in would confirm

There was little chance 27yo rookie sensation Dan Russell was long for the EDG role.

I am shockingly optimistic about the Dragons, Flanno is building. We surprised a few people this season by coming 16th and then push for the 8 in 2025.

Dragons a big show to steal the shield, Kenner looks like he will nab that vacant spot - he wont see many minutes but Jye Gray is a talented kid be interested to see how he goes against the big boys.

Honestly I like Hutcho at 7, there's something about him. Big body, takes on the line and is no slouch with the boot (given how good Burton is at kicking that isn't quite as important)

Sexton is decent but kind of boring.

Well, yeah. It takes more than a few months for supplements to really kick in.

Luki would be the actual target for fantasy if Leilua left

Interested to see Seyfarth at lock. Could be the bolter that everyone misses.

Aitken named at EDG also interesting.

He’s weirdly only scored well in big min EDG. Still not great average in 50 min interchange role in middle

On Aitken on the EDG with Kenny Bromwich to come into the side and Lemuelu carrying an injury, as well as the new CTR purchases, I would not expect to see too much of Aitken this year in 1st Grade

I've pencilled in Rocco Berry for a while. Good end of the season, cheapish in a crap position, and playing outside of Metcalf (probs) so could see some increased action.

Also, he's got a great name!

No help yet as to who gets the vacant edge spot though, which is the key information we want

Also, I know this won't be the round 1 team, but Suaalii and Smith both make the run on team with Joey Manu the one to get benched.

Joey is locked in, Smith & Suaalli being given max time to prove their worth.
