You take Hutch regardless, will be one of the buys of the season.

I have no problem fading Hutch if im running Cleary + Hynes + Strange/Weekes. Obviously I think he’s a good enough pick he’s in every iteration of my team where I don’t splash $2M on gun halves, but I don’t think he is so obviously nailed on for 40 points as the non-dominant half in a non-dominant team.
Cook has had a calf injury I think a minor one but Guru was saying he’s hearing Pete will start at 14 but I don’t think it happens every week. Personally I’m not taking Cook might be a few games where he might not play 80 this year. We need to remember he turns 33 in JuneWT Winfield wrote:
What's Mamo doing? Stealing minutes from Cook or messing around at LK? I'm going with Cook and expecting 80 mins every week. Cook, Tatola and BSmith are pretty much locked into my team at this stage and all playing early.
Agrees he’s in my 14-17.mattnz wrote:

Same could be said of Seyfarth and Brown.
Brown is a former subgun, has averaged 55 in a season. Much better than Elliott at peak.
Seyfarth is the guy that I have always said if he gets a start he is in my team. Has been training the house down, has a 54 average at starting EDG (I know he is playing lock, but can easily see that translating to great scoring in the middle, given an opportunity).
Salmon looks a new player at lock.

He was playing badly in the trial and still scoring well.
You don't want to miss a guy who when starting in the halves has scored 102, 92, 77, 76, 71 in limited appearances.
Average of 50 at 6 and 46 at 7.

Playing the dominant role next to Keary in a Roosters side 3 years ago is different from being second fiddle to Burton at the Bulldogs in 2024. Wasn’t Burton tonning up behind a hot Panthers outfit? Any non-dominant halves to score well belong to good teams- the only ones to go over 40 fantasy points last year were Brown (55), Walker (46) and Luai (41). This argument is moot anyway because he is in almost all my teams, and the initial post was about how its hard to justify Hynes with Hutchison available. But I still maintain he isnt without risk.
