If that is the case and he’s the 13 he could be an alternative keeper middle to Haas or Murray at just over 700k.

I'd be all over that. Pretty sure he played 80 in the trial.

Lets just start with the same team.

I’ve had said Hooker pencilled in for a while. But the 9 missed tackles against the dragons has me spooked. Seems to be rushing out of the line trying to lead by example….

Kind of like Mahoney. Who had 8 missed tackles against the eels..

Anyone watch Carty Party on the weekend and think he is the value option in the Eels over Hopgood... he was going off in defence and attack. Most likely to play 80 and loves an offload

TK said in the latest TL pod that Sharks were gonna make an announcement in the coming days regarding McInnnes which would force us to strongly consider him as a value fantasy option to start the season.

What that news is, is purely hearsay at this stage (probably Captain though).

    He looked great.

Would struggle to fit another Eel in though. I expect most end up with Hopgood, an Eels CTR and Lussick at some point.

Gotta say, running max sub $300k players is tempting.

Surely having the following can make up for the odd flop score from the cheapies each round.
    Cleary
    Hopgood
    Cotter
    McInnes
    Ponga
    Robson
    Penisini
    Paps
    Luki

Same as Cotter no? Just because C doesn’t mean more minutes. If Finucane is still around then it might still be up in the air

Makes him a starter with decent minutes, not a 30-40 minute bench player. If the trial is anything to go by, could be getting huge minutes.

Cotter has never been an 80 minute lock averaging 70.

Yea I don’t believe becoming Captain alone is reason enough to justify a change in projection.
I’m hoping that the news includes something about Dale having a reduced role going forward.

When did I say Cotter is an 80 minute lock lol it’s the C factor that has any variable meaning

I'd say most likely he moves into the prop rotation.

You missed the point. McInnes is a gun with a history of 80 minutes at lock, when captain at another club, who was getting 30-40 minutes off the bench before being named captain at his current club.

Think his minutes may change more than Cotter's?

I would expect that too. I don’t think McInnes would play 80mins but should get high 50’s mins at close to a ppm probs 5-6 points value there

Don't mistake cause and effect here.
Mcinnes's value isn't so much whether he starts lock or not, its whether Finucane is in the team or not.

Last year averaged 45 with Finucane, and 58 without. starting at lock was a byproduct and I wouldn't necessarily think it would repeat if Finucane is still on the bench

Speaking of 9s, been tempted by Liddle. Marschke the only concern.
