Thats exactly how it should be done.

If a player in your 13 doesn't play till Monday and is a late withdraw, you get an AE, which you dont want. So always put the players who play in the earlier games in your starting 13 where possible

I definitely do this. Don't want to get caught out with player pulling out and giving you an ae because your reserves already played. Happened to me once, never again.

    Also, just on Maubbs.

People say it was crazy to bring him in.

    In 2014 + 2015, Aubbs was starting 2nd row 13 times.
In those 13 games he averaged 48 and his lowest score was 37 (that includes any game where he started at 2nd row but moved to centre mid game, but excludes any game he started at centre or came off the bench)

Now in 2016, the scores for the 4 games he has started in the 2nd row rank as 15th, =13th, 17th, 16th (out of 17 scores) for the last 3 years of data.

If you include 2014 data, he has started 2nd row 28 times, and all of 2016s scores fall in the bottom 10 of those.

Now other than saying "Aubbs has screwed you in the past" there was no reason to expect that he would be consistently scoring so low this year. Looking at the stats, and his likely extended run as starting forward, there was every reason to think he would score well.

It hasn't worked out, but I would make a similar decision again in a heartbeat, because long term it will pay off more than it fails. I still hold out hope that he will bang out some 40+ scores before Cordner comes back. Would have done it last week if the bunker was kind.

And also - if you are captaining someone who plays in the first game of the round. Your VC should also come from that game.

If you know for certain your captain is playing, no point locking in a VC that plays later in the weekend and getting caught unable to sub him if he is a late withdrawl.

We have 4 around that rank in the top 300.

To help put the start to this season into perspective, I looked around my other non-Fanatics leagues. In my Legends League 2, the HIGHEST placed overall player is ranked nearly 1900 overall. Legends are tremendous, and a wonderful community just like this one, but this time last year they had 3 of their 70 posters in the Top 20 Overall. NRL won't load at the moment so can't check the Legends Overall Group, but that League 2 example is pretty crazy. The place is full of Fantasy/DT diehards.

    Do people actually say that?

If you listen to Renegades, Rengades are the best.

If you listen to Butters, Butters is the best.

If you listen to ex-Sportal, we suck and demand explanations!

also remember that some teams that have taken the punt on guys like Milf/Tedesco/Mbye to start the season their huge scores will even out in the next few rounds so their 80's and 90's when other guns have been scoring 40s and 50's might reverse and that's where you gain ranking spots

People talk about the same players for a reason. Generally a lot of people who have the same players will want to talk about those same players they have. I haven't mentioned Aubbs once because I don't have him.
I was considering McInnes or Rein a lot and trying to gauge what people thought but they have other pressing issues which is fair I asked and some people still responded and it changed my mind which I think is for the better, so throw all of your left field options up here because why not? Might get someone point out something that you didn't notice before.

and if everyone does talk about the same players I think its great, its awesome to see so much activity on our godfather's Randoms website
