I don't think he will be throwing him in the deep ending that way. I think we will likely seeing a gradual increase across the year.

I read into the fact he’s been playing for 5 years and has 5 games over 40 mins in his career

Probably the best impact forward in the game so why change his profile

Plus the fact that we have so many MID and EDG players in that mid-range price point, I don't see why you would want to take Leniu over say a Tatola, Cotter, Piakura, Luki, Roosters EDGs, Smithies, or Blore.

Having trouble deciding on my HOK and a HLF (to go with Clearly and Hutch). Thinking either:

    Cook + Flanno
    or
    Cheese + SOS

Cheese and SOS seems like it would have far more potential for value.

I also think Flanno is an egg.

The only one similarly priced is Piakura. The others are appox 100k more.

I've now just got four players locked in tomorrow.

    Piakura
    Cleary (C)
    Cheese (VC)
    Schuster

Despite what I said before, Flanagan just made it in my holding pattern until next Tuesday - gotta love it. i am taking the risk that Schuster back in R2 has more money to make than Sitil who could just as easily be back to the bench R2 or play only 50 minutes per game being subbed by Butcher/Crichton/Wong. I am saving a trade and I can see Schuster being in my side for most of the year averaging about 50 and covering EDG/HLF

In 2021 in the 2nd row, he averaged 48. Schuster is cheaper than Sitili and has a better record of scoring on the EDG

FWIW Billy Smith ruled out 2-4 weeks with hamstring.
2 week turnaround means he may only miss a game.

Fun fact Nat and Egan Butcher were the same EDG pairing barring injury/suspension for all but 1 game until R15 last year and played 80 in each game barring injury/sin bin

I personally don’t see the upside in starting with Schuster. I’d rather wait and see how he looks if/when he returns. Niggling calves are a hassle and I would be surprised if he comes back and starts Round 2.

Hope it works out for you. In the event it does, I’ll probably just bring him in before Round 3. Any money he makes in that week is likely offset by having 2 weeks cash gen of someone else not named Schuster.
