Not even convinced shoes is worth it. That dogs rotation will be an odd one and king/cuz/mann are going to eat the mins then theres poasa and morrin as well. What does hughes score.. 20 in 28 mins ?

Chan is only 21 i dont think cup stats are the be all there. But JS is the main concern..

The guys under 300k who look likeliest to make money are Ben fucking Trbojevic, Jaeman fucking Salmon, Danny fucking Levi and Tommy fucking Talau. Talk about Shittoes Choice.

Main reason I'm keeping Shoes is he's a big body in a relatively small Dogs pack. I'm going to store Shoes and Cotric in 20/21 and then try target some of the more expensive cows in 18/19.

Chan with the poor cup stats and poor job security means easy avoid for me. If he pulls out a big score at weekend I will get him next week if he's still starting. However I can see lots of missed tackles up against Chin, Martin, Tago and To'a.

The reason he doesn't have all the cup stats is he played Super league for the catalans dragons, unsure his stats there but managed 26 games

Agree I don't think the cup stats are enough to put me off, wouldn't be the first time a player has lifted their level once getting a shot in the NRL.

Seems like Chan has won the spot on merit which is good enough for me to give him a crack.

Chan was a better Super League player than Morgan Smithies though 😉

    No other interest in Elliot?

For me it comes down to him and 260K for next week or run Hoppo. Some decent upside to Elliot.

He came over to Melbourne last season, but was with Catalans before that. From eye test (watching a few games, not the highlights) he looked a very good young player. Not sure of the stats though.

I've got him back in. With JBrai out and realistically playing max 50-60 when fully fit again, I see big value in Elliot. Definite POD.

I just saw him in the trial and he looked pretty good, and the storm can turn an edge (even plodders) into a stud
Did a quick google and found the video so not too bothered by the stats as he is bottom priced and starting with not many alternatives.
Anyways he can sit in the NPR's as he isn't a fullback haha

Bench looks good for him but does Coggar sub Crissland?  Wonder if Crossland spends time in the middle?

He’s in my lock bench. Because why not.

Elliot should play 60-65. Still happy with his output at that time on field. If that's how it plays out, of course.

I had a look at Elliot when MS mentioned, but I just don't see it. Messing with filters and coming up with 42-43 averages a lot. Averaged 49 as a starting LK in 2022, but not seeing much else.

Cotter similar I guess, but I reckon has higher potential to bounce back from last year. Also wondering whether to just upgrade him to Hopgood or save the bank for next week though.
