Last podcast I heard tonight was predicting that even before Whitehead is back (I assume… how long is he actually out for?) Horse will be back, play lock and push Smithies out to EDG and Hosking misses out.

Truth is, no one actually knows; probably not even Ricky himself.

All the podcasts were assuming that Weekes was going to be the Raiders 6, despite Strange looking several times better. They didn't have inside knowledge on this, they were just wrapped up in their own "narratives". With the exception that TK from Talking League clearly has some sort of inside track into Cronulla, they don't know any more than the average punter on here.

Doesn't mean they can't be entertaining to listen to, or give you some ideas you might not have had before, but in terms of knowing about team selections or guessing minutes, you might as well roll a dice.

Trying to decide if im better off going with Robson to start the year over Grant. I was looking at Grant and was probably going to trade him out in round 13. So I did a little investigating. If Grant avgs 60 while playing 11 of the first 13 games he will score 660 points. Where as Robson is 128k cheaper, if he avgs 50 while playing all of the first 13 games, that's 650 points. Obviously whoever i'd replace grant with during those 2 bye games is important for the calculation too, as well as what I use the extra 100k for (for me its the difference between starting with Hutcho and Fog).

Just somethign for you Grant owners to think about.

Grant would be 11 of 12 games and Robson 11 of 12 games you can’t have Robson with 1 more game. Both could play origin count them to round 12…

Grant 11 games 660 points avg 60
Robson 12 games avg 600 points avg 50

Plus add whoever is your 18th man for when Grant is one bye if they get a 35 that’s 695 points.

I don't think Robson beats out Cook and Koro for Origin but you make a good point. Also looking at my team and the difference between Hutch vs Fogarty, for approx 7 games (About the time id trade Hutch out) its probably around 15 points difference. Making it around 695 points for Grant and 705 for Robson. Obviously its not gonna be the same or even worth it for every team, but definitely something that intrigued me after thinking all preseason, i needed to start with grant and cop the low round 4 score with both Papy and Grant out.

Thoughts on Api? Priced at 44 avg 46.9 in games over 50mins at hooker last year with 0.8 goal kicks you’d assume with GK he gets an extra 3-4 points on top of that could avg about 50 first half of the year priced at 44.

Not sure I trust Seb Kris. Tossing up downgrading Grant to Api and upgrading Kris to get a keeper centre eg Kiraz or Pensini.

If Galvin is the 14 it’ll be big mins for Api.

What’s A does that stand for Api or Grant and Kris?

I reckon Api can avg right 50 what’d you reckon?

Grant 60 avg Kris 34 avg equals 94

Api 50 avg Kiraz 45 avg equals 95
