Will any of you long-suffering Tigers fans be bringing in S.Fainu?

I didn't watch the game, but from the thread he seemed a decent player.

Might be a chance to start at lock this week, or they might go Pole there. Or Seyfarth might start again.. for reasons? Who knows. Doesnt seem like Benji will just keep picking the same players 'just because' though. Bit of a risk getting any tigers player that isnt Galvin atm.

I'd probably bet on Pole starting at 13, he got 60 mins on the weekend.

It wasn't even Matt-specific. If I wanted to go there, there's plenty of of other stuff I could go with, but what's the point? Forum has been fairly restrained given how much talk there was the previous week.

Correlation between NSW Cup stats and first grade performance is barely relevant. That's been a conversation point with or without Matt, but has been shown in extremis with Sullivan. If I was picking up Angus, then the things I'd factor in are previous NRl experience (big thumbs up) and the fact that he's one of four mid-priced Roosters edges, any one of whom could start, bench, or start *and* be benched (big thumbs down). How he did against Manly reserves is not massively useful, I don't think.

Schuster playing badly (if he did, have no idea if reporter watched game or just looks at stat line) *is* relevant in the way it impacts the commonly-owned Burbo and his job security.

PS well done in absolutely smashing me in L1 H2H this week.

I think the relevance is less about getting Angus, and more about ditch Shitili / Wong (or both) in short order, which we probably should do anyway based on scoring / minutes.

Haven’t had a start this ho hum since last time I was in L1 😂

    Early trade thoughts
    Luki to Cotter
    Sitili to Galvin

Need another MID going forward, happy to wait a week on Campbell if he's named to play
Can put Kris at 17 to l**p between Salmon & Chan (or Shughes & Levi)

Forced into a WFB due to Kris HIA. Kinda want Ted but he’ll be 700k now? Feels gross, but he’s up against a bottom 2 team in Souths

Might just get JC if named

Glad to hear it! When he was at the Broncs I saw him at the supermarket one day having an existential crisis in the yoghurt section, picking up various varieties reading the contents and putting them back. Happy to see he’s moved on.

Coincidentally saw Stephen Kearney the same day strolling along with his hands in his pockets, whistling. He got the sack a month or so later.

He didn't seem to be in the same predicament when it came to which beer to drink, but he was with Matt 'and who could forget this guy' Nable.

Pretty disappointed in myself for not owning Cotter. 53 tackles with no misses is impressive

Early flick of Ponga - interesting. Could prove to be seriously well played.

My problem is that I have 5 plodders and duds that I would love to punt, but I'm not seeing a combo of any two of them that can get me to Terrell May and Finefuiaki. Which, on a Sunday night before team lists n' stuff, is where I feel I want to be next week. Just not sure I can get there... unless I trade out a Ponga too, lol. But I don't have the testicular fortitude for that, as I am certain he will score a 91 the week I trade him out - if I did.

Based on Booze's season last year, I'd say any decision he makes about ditching "guns" will work out for the best for him.
If I had picked Ponga, I'd be following Booze's lead.

Yeah, I wish I did last week. Think I’ll just hold now and hope to use bigger spuds for my trades. There’s a tonne of them.

Booze also had 4 gun fullbacks though lol. I think it was less about moving Ponga on because he is set to be a dud and more about needing that cash elsewhere. Moves like that are pretty team dependent.
