The whole HIA testing process needs revisiting. Some guys will always fail on the basis of not being the sharpest tool in the shed.

Someone clarify for me also, just because someone gets a knock to the head, but shows no signs of being affected, he can still have to go through the hia process based on just having had a knock ??

Hoping someone can fill me in regarding HIAs. I thought if you failed one on the weekend that automatically ruled you out for next week?
I was just reading casualty ward on NRL.com and it said Roosters are hopeful Sam Walker will be cleared to play this week. I felt a little rumble in my pants and kept reading down the page and found my mate, Tuaupiki, and it said he is “unlikely to be available” this week, which - because I’m a desperate gronk - gives me hope that there is still a chance he will play.
But this is all rubbish info, isn’t it? Neither Walker or Tuaupiki will participate in NRL this weekend, will they? No ifs or buts?
I remember there was someone last year… was it CNK? Someone seemed to defy a couple of these HIA bans through the year.
Anyone know the deal?

Roosters already appealed the category for Walkers HIA and had it downgraded.. or something.. this was posted on roosters forum
"Just reported on channel 9 that the Roosters request to have Sammy exempt from category 1 protocols has been approved. Apparently he passed all concussion tests on the night."
he was holding his neck on the field after it happened.. so maybe just wasn't a head knock? i dunno, wasnt paying that much attention.

Sitili -> Campbell should be an easy trade if named.

Standard procedure is 11 day stand down but its possible to apply for an exemption if a number of criteria are met (no category 1 symptoms, no concussion in last 3 months, no symptoms on the following day, less than a certain number of concussions in career)

Interesting. Was it Turbo who had a similar situation last year?
So I wonder if Warriors have tried to appeal Tuaupiki decision to? That would make my week if he was somehow free, and then also picked to play.

Hmm, have to get a WFB this week so I think I’m going straight for Turbo, only issue is that I should probably concede that Terrell is a must-have and the only realistic path forward to get both while getting rid of Wong is either Smithies or Cheese out.

Broncos have players Sailor and Mariner. Why does no one talk about this
