Grant is the one I regret as I said I wouldn’t spend up at HOK and now he’s not even outperforming cheaper HOKs. The other 2 Storm players were arguably must pick (given lack of other cow options for Chan)

Exactly. I absolutely detest everything about Supercoach, but the wife makes me play in her work comp every year. I look at it for about 2 mins every week but I do quite like the boost trade option they have. You get about 5 of them and on any week throughout the year you can activate it to make an addition third trade, would not be a bad idea for regular Fantasy. Point being there are a lot of minor changes that could be made to improve the game but it seems they just don't care to put in the effort for a better product.

Yeah I considered Turbo or Ponga aswell (Teddy, Pap, Rapana my only wfbs), but feels too much like blowing the bank with Campbell or Gutho available. I'm not keen on running 4 wfbs for long though, so Cobbo or Kiraz before he gets out of reach could help with this week's problems and next. I briefly thought about downgrading Teddy to Cobbo preseason and steered away from Kiraz because of the back injury, but both look like being keeper CTRs. Feels a bit gross doing something like Cleary to Kiraz after last week's score, but priced at 41 and averaging 48 from 9 games at CTR, 40 on the wing. Has a bye Rd 8, so need to move the other Dogs on soon. Better schedule over the major byes than Cobbo though and a little bit cheaper is swinging it for me.

I tried SC for a couple of years, before the trade boost thing, and hated it too. I wouldn't want 25 man squads for NRLF still either, as it's too easy to grab every cheapie and stash them away until they jag a good score and make cash. Still gotta have the trades available to actually use it all though.

Not sure why you're so fixated on captains. It's not cricket. Other players (Tapine, Fogarty) are capable of talking to the ref, which is all on-field captaincy is.

You missed the key word "every" when misreading my question.

Captaincy is more than talking to the ref. If they are doing their job correctly they are providing the on field leadership to get the team over the line for a win.

Kinda ruins my trade plans though with these outs/possible outs. Hopefully TLT will be kind

Not really. The "captain" was the key part, and Canberra have been known to have honorary captains. Doesn't make the slightest difference to whether Whitehead's minutes.

What might make a difference is he's experienced and trusted and (here I half agree with you) Hosking is a bit real life overrated on here because he's so good at fantasy. IF (and the key word there is "if") Whitehead is anything like the player he's been over the past decade, he will and should get more minutes than Hosking. But it doesn't really look like he is.

(You edited your post while I was replying. Captaincy is that, but there are other leaders on the team who do that too. Every team. Sometimes the guy with the "c" is just the one who's been there longest)

I'm not even bothering to have a look until teams are announced but anticipating that all green dots get a run.

TBH I'm not getting too worked up about it either......not much you can do about it & I honestly hope they do nothing as it makes the game slightly more challenging. There are going to be some random picks this week as people scramble to choose a 'new gun' and a captain (both of which I have to do so not gloating).
