Looks like I made a mistake in trading out Flanagan a couple of weeks ago. I still own Levi and Shoes

Also, the obstruction rule has been like this for many, many, years now.
Rather than complain about it, I think a good idea would be for teams to practice running decoys that don't stop in the line or impede any defenders

Anyone who plays Footy know a 'decoy' called a block shape consists of a lead (front door) and a jokey (back door). the point of it is to isolate a defender to make a decision. If run correctly, (NRL players are lazy with this), the lead even if not receiving the ball should run an unders line THROUGH the gap on the inside shoulder of the defender. If run correctly it can almost never be called an obstruction. A lot of players, even at NRL level cut too far into the gap and end up hitting the player on the inside of the guy they are trying to isolate, which ends up obstructing the defender.

They change of direction should be minor, Defenders are always going to be sliding out on shifts, so most of the time a minor change in direction is more effective.

Tanah is truly woeful. Maybe we will see Weaver (I think that's who played the trials) step in sooner rather than later.

Convinced updates don’t exist after Campbell went down. Was missing error but was missing at least 5 tackles and still came away with 1 tackle

Suffering a bit of Catch32 with Campbell, as a non-owner looking to buy next week I’m pleased he missed his BE (32), but now doubting I want him because he got less than 32.

Haha same boat here. Think I’ll still do it unless Talagi has a decent role for the Eels tomorrow.

One of them comes in for Toops

    No 8 point try? 😡

Billy Slater would have missed every second week if they charged that back in his day

Yep, I'm on the same page. Even though it was a stupid no try call, there's no reason for JWH to stop running right in front of Edwards. Just keep jogging through and there's no obstruction call and it's a try. Same as Jake Trbojevic last week, just keep on running

It was three days ago now so maybe my memory is hazy but my recollection is he jogged through about 10m. Then Edwards - who was about 20m off the ball - makes a decision to barrel straight into him. I mean perhaps JWH could’ve kept running a decoy beyond the try line, maybe into the stands, but perhaps Edwards could’ve taken one of the other 35748 possible routes to try and make a cover tackle?

Is it possible to want decoy runners to run decoys properly and players not to deliberately run into them and fall over when they are nowhere near the hole created and nowhere near making a tackle? Do I have to choose a side here?

What's this about him being a beach sprinter? Tell me more

Watched him really closely. Definitely looked better when Fifita was on

In the end he gets one of Burbo/Strange out of my CTRs which is a net positive

Haha, as clear as if it were yesterday. It hurts me that he seems like a genuinely good bloke outside of footy, because he was just the dirtiest prick on the field
