Just looked him up and he's...24? Is there a reason he hasn't already broken through if he's as talented and hyped as is being made out?

Seems like his manager is at fault, not getting him in the right team where there was a CTR spot available.

The fact now he might not play next week is concerning though

Long term plan to take over from Kennedy at the back and Sharks back five has been humming the past few years so no real room for him. He will either bide his time and break through due to an injury or sign elsewhere.

I remember when Johnson was coming through at Warriors and fans were screaming for him to get his shot and Cleary held him out of first grade for a long time before bringing him in.

He’s played quite a few internationals for Cook Islands, in World Cup and recent offseason Pacific Cup/Bowl/Utensil

Yeah I noticed that, which makes it all the more odd he hasn't already secured a regular spot if he's that good imo, given he's already spent a bit of time in the shop window.

Just a case of being at the wrong club & stuck behind better options? Or I wonder if there's some specific element of his game he's been told to work on to get to NRL level.

Well he’s more unlikely to be back Cleary next week and if he’s responding a bit slower there is a high risk of re injuring it first 2 weeks back too. He might come back but Edwards does GK still… I’m so stuck this is a tough decision

I don't know how to vote because if Ponga (who is my preferred option) plays Origin I'd just hold Teddy, but if you want a non-Origin replacement, I guess Drinkwater is the answer. They probably score pretty similar anyway.

As a non-Teddy owner, I personally wouldn't be trading out Teddy.

    Does Ponga play Origin?

I thought I ready something about keeping himself healthy for the Knights.

And does he beat out Walsh for the FB spot, not sure he is used from the bench.

As a NSW support, leave Ponga out of Origin 🤣

    Salmon > Iro

If he plays good, is highly rated and has been patient in reserve grade for so long then you'd think sharks wouldn't risk losing him to another club in his contract year 🤷🏽‍ Salmons absolute ceiling looks like 40, has a bye in 2 rounds and he's the one that Ciraldo gonna move around each game for injury - He's also absolutely rubbish

This Cleary news is very annoying. My team is made up stalling cash gen, and i feel like im relying on players that keep getting lucky. i.e Shoes, Levi, Burbo, Salmon, burbo, Hutch, Smith, Strange

Anyone worth their salt would've traded out Cleary for a perpetual motion machine and a broken kaleidoscope a couple of weeks ago Trophy

Any harm in grabbing JBrailey this week?

Priced at 35, should average in the 45-50 region when back to his normal 80 minute role. Hopefully that is this week. No issues at all with JS

He's never getting 80 mins as long as Crossland's in the team.

But why? If you can show me some stats that show he doesn’t play 80 with Crossland on the bench I’ll listen

I do already own Hynes though

Yep, as a fellow Hynes owner already I agree it’s a much easier wait and see.

Brailey has played quite a number of 80 minute games with Crossland coming of the bench playing minutes in the middle.
But ideally you wait and see if Brailey gets the 80 in the next couple weeks before jumping on
