Can't see Iro keeping his spot once Talakai shifts back to centre, and can't see Chevy being a shoe in at FB - especially if Raiders were to lose a game or two.

Do you have alternative options you could suggest? What is your gameplan moving forward, waiting for another Galvin to come along?

It probably depends how your cows have performed, or if you have other players who have reached their peak and you can downgrade accordingly. Eg. I've done Elliot to CNK this week. I was fortunate to get some cash gen from Elliot. Also have the likes of Seyfarth.

I'm not saying Chevy or Iro are the wrong choice. I brought in Talagi the other week and I probably cannot afford to take a gamble on another cheapie in the WFB/CTR position.

Given we are all Raiders heavy, for those trading Chevy in, would he be one of the Raiders you keep past their bye, or would you ditch him then and hope he's made enough cash?

I have 6 raiders now, trading Rapana out this week, but potentially to Chevy for no net Raider change.

I think Fogarty will be leaving my team soon for Hynes/Cleary
Levi won't be there long term - but still have Smithies, Strange, Kris, plus potentially Chevy to worry about

Here's how fullbacks have gone so far: scored (their season average against other teams)
    Blake Taaffe 21 (31) - 1 try
    Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow 59 (50) - 1 try
    Scott Drinkwater 81 (51) - 2 tries
    Tyrell Sloan 64 (35) - 3 tries

Titans have conceded  7 tries to fullbacks in 4 games so far (without even having to play the likes of Ponga, Turbo, Teddy, Walsh, Papenhuyzen, Mitchell)

How will speedy Chevy Stewart go?

we all saw him in the trials never get involved in the attack at all....so how is he going to get near a try...in the trials he looked like he didn't belong on the nrl cause he played like a pussy

Disagree on Chevy. Sticky has said he sees him as the long term fullback and that he was always going to get the starting spot eventually.

this is pretty meaningless tbh. kid is 18. getting the starting spot eventually might not be for another two years. there are more 18 and 19 year olds that come in, have a couple of games, and go back to cup for more experience than there are Galvins (who so far has still only had three games)

if ricky was ready to go all in on chevy he would have already been playing fb. not just getting a run now because of injury.

i dont know what will happen but there is just as much risk there as Iro and every other kid that comes along (talagi??)

fwiw i've swayed back to undecided between IRO and CHEVY

I was considering SJ instead of Hynes until heard about non contact training this week. Probably still kills it

" Lower leg soreness prevented Shaun Johnson from training on Tuesday, but he is expected to return to action on Thursday, with coach Andrew Webster saying “all indications are that he’ll be fine” to take on the Sea Eagles on Saturday."

yeah, I guess it depends on everyone's individual team balance. I didn't pick up Talagi or Finefeuiaki so I guess for me picking up Chevy or Iro feels less risky

I think you’ll find that 34-35 year old halfbacks often have a “light” sessions due to some sort of soreness. News clutching at straws mate!

Can you do five eighths please? If I buy Chester I have to play Strange at Centre this week

    Sure

It's not great reading (all played the full 80)

    Kodi Nikorima 24
    Kyle Flanagan 36
    Matt Burton 36
    Tom Dearden 23

That's a 29.8 average across those 4, which is 5 points below the current 35 average across the NRL for 5/8

The areas that the Titans have heavily conceded fantasy points so far are Hooker, Wing and Fullback (+22.3, +13.4, +13.1). They've been comparatively tight conceding points to the halves (-6.6 and -5.3 for the 7 and 6 vs NRL average).

Of course these are all pretty small sample sizes this early in the comp (the Titans only having played 4 games), so I wouldn't suggest it predicts any particular outcome this week, but interesting as an aside

    Kayal Iro is 24.
Does that mean he becomes the chosen one?

I'm flat out lately and have read through the thread but not sure on the answer..

How long do we realistically think Iron is viable? Sharks forward injuries the main predictor potentially so what are we looking at? I was on him but could do Chevrolet obviously like everyone else
