Yeah currently since posting I've swayed more towards Ponga, goal kicking and may miss Origin is pretty big. Leaves me this:

    Egan
    Carrigun Alpha Terrell
    Angus KPP
    Hynes Fog
    Kiraz Iro
    Ponga Gutho Papy
    Lussick Shoes Salmon Galvin
    Strange Stewart Piakura Chan

I really like them all except Chan but can bide my team finding a replacement for him and will just use him to loop for now.

Surely QLD pick Ponga over Walsh. Better player, more experience, was the incumbent before Walsh was the incumbent.

I just checked and I currently have 15 players for Rd 13 and 14 already. Clearly no idea who is in Origin, injured, suspended, or even named to play but it’s a pretty good start so far out.

What are Murray owners doing this week. Doesn’t miss extra week for HIA with bye but probably going to tank in value before Origin where he’s probably sell (moreso latter period missing 16, 17, 19)

I somehow still have 5 trade out options despite max trading (Murray, Campbell, Hutch, Levi, Talagi) with 321k ITB

I’m in similar position and have currently got Murray traded out, pending team lists. The three players I can get trading Murray, Hutch, Levi is vastly superior than if I trade Levi, Hutch, Chan.

In considering the trade out I have on the pro list for trading out:
    A) his ongoing knee issue,
    B) looks like his minutes have dropped to about 60mins (although he played full first half last week, rabbits had a bunch of injuries and he’d moved to centre), and
    C) he always looks gassed after 20 mins or so.

    Russell ==> Iro

It will depend on TLT. Russell has almost bottomed out, and you would hope that at some stage, he scores a try or two and starts to make money, but Iro, if he has indeed claimed the CTR position, might be too shiny and new to pass up.

I would also like to get rid of Sitili, but I don't have enough funds to upgrade him, and there are no downgrades that seem appropriate yet.

I might leave it a week and stick with what I have and make the one trade this week.

Team Tracker to be updated in about 5 minutes

As one of the few Russell owners I'm holding. I don't think it can get much worse, he has handy DPP for cover

Will probably hang around most of the year unless he goes on a try scoring streak

He’s definitely a pod play, and he plays 13 and 14 too! I’d still sell him if I could but somehow I always have far more important trades to make. At least this week he’ll be at 20, with Talagi at 21.

Not without a try, he won't. For me, him and Hutch are of equal importance to dismiss asap.

I see opinions here on Waddell seem to be a bit lukewarm? He'd be excellent to plug into my MID hole for next week and that BE tells me either I get him this week or I don't get him.

But if I don't get him, I can go for sexier more gun options (but no MIDs).

Torn on how to play this, because I will need a MID next week, no matter what. But I don't want a MID this week...

Honestly Waddell is one of my easiest trade ins of the year. He ticks just about every box I could ask for

DPP covering a pretty average position - MID doesn't have a lot of great options this year so he is handy cover

Historically decent fantasy scorer available at a discount due to role rather than form/injury - Career average of 40 as a second rower priced at 30. Mostly done in base so it seems repeatable. Very playable score in your 17

Low breakeven - Set to make cash immediately with 80k coming in the next 3 weeks with 40s. If you think he can hit 45s he will have cleared 100k in that time

Good attacking team - May fall over the try line on occasion lining up outside Turbo and DCE

Job security - Immediate competition (Burbo) is out for 3-6 weeks and frankly isn't very good. Schuster has been told to look elsewhere. Parker is a reserve grader. Very real chance he holds the spot for the next 10 weeks

He isn't gonna set the world on fire but he should make an easy 150k and hold a spot in your 17 while he does it. Should be the most traded in player of the week IMO

Yeah he's a bit of a no brainer. With Burbo's extensive history of hammy strains I wouldn't be surprised if his rest was on the longer side.

I’m on Waddell and Chester for their handy DPP and it lets me show the door to a combination of Hutch, Levi, Talagi, Chan.

Piakura could be on my trade-in list next week. 360k for starting second row with attacking upside, non-Origin on decent team?

    So only six trade-outs, really.

Goddammit i was supposed to hold some trades this week.

Reasonably annoying I am about 10k short of Levi to Waddell in a single trade.

Still 40% owned in the top 5000.. a real indication of how much carnage we've had that so many have held for a 4 week injury.

And yeah, he *should* make money if he ever stays on the park in the back row.

How many short term players do you have in your squad? How many new short term players do you want to add to that. Is it more or less than the number of trades you need.

People keep complaining about struggling to field 17 players a week. One way to help with that problem is to not trade in players who are not first choice starters in their team (ie people who started the year with Kini, Tuaupiki and 3 Storm players were always asking for trouble on the Storm bye).
I'm not even sure how long Lachlan Croker might be out for, but I bet its not enough to make Lawton worth it purely as a Croker replacement,

Haha, okay, so that was the opposite of what I was looking for. Wink I do completely agree with all that and know it's the best trade I can make, but I was hoping I could finally make a "luxury" trade. Maybe next week...

On another note, is it too late to get Fogarty anyway? I assume I'm the only person left in NRL Fantasy that doesn't own him and it seems to be causing immeasurable damage to my team/scores this year, but just like the other five weeks, I can't see an avenue to bring him in... again, even with three trades. But is it too late anyway?

My opinion is that he's scoring like one of the better keepers of the year and is still a good price for his output, but am I wrong? Should I just let it go?
