Terrible week for looping this week with all the plodders from Raiders (Chevy), Dogs (Salmon, Hughes) and Cowboys (Finefeuiaki) playing in the last few games.

Haha, okay, so that was the opposite of what I was looking for. Wink I do completely agree with all that and know it's the best trade I can make, but I was hoping I could finally make a "luxury" trade. Maybe next week...

On another note, is it too late to get Fogarty anyway? I assume I'm the only person left in NRL Fantasy that doesn't own him and it seems to be causing immeasurable damage to my team/scores this year, but just like the other five weeks, I can't see an avenue to bring him in... again, even with three trades. But is it too late anyway?

My opinion is that he's scoring like one of the better keepers of the year and is still a good price for his output, but am I wrong? Should I just let it go?

Both Fog & SJ are at 20% ownership so not everyone has them yet Smile

Fog is indeed looking like a keeper and everyone who has him are prepared for his average to drop back to 53-55 over the season. As long as you are okay with that. Personally I will buy SJ over Fog, that is if you dont already own him.

I know. Who would have thought he will be the main beneficiary of Tino's injury.
Has minutes been higher due to in-game injuries? Haven't watched him that closely.

Yeah, he was another one that got away from me too quickly. The theme of this season has been putting out these smaller, but more pressing fires, while the best guns all get away.

Hopefully Dylan Brown will stay somewhere in a sensible price bracket for me to potentially pick him up next week...

Is buying a 40 point player for 30 points (one who possibly, but not definitely has job security) a "no brainer"

I think ideally at this point we are buying cheaper players, or players that score more, but sometimes we have to compromise because that is what is available.

2023 Waddell is great value. 2022 Waddell is a dud pick. Which one do you get?

Purely on eye test, I reckon he has looked pretty good this year.. I remember thinking against the ?Dragons? it might be a matter of time before Burbo lost the starting spot.

I don't know if he's a no brainer, but if you're buying, you're probably hoping for a little better than 40 average (while you own him, you can't get last weeks scores).. if he can manage that then he should make 150k+ AND be playable in your 17.. to me that's better than buying a guy worth sub 300k who scores in the low 30s

If Burbo is out for a while, he really doesn't have much competition there at the moment.

EG if i buy, i'd be happy with 45 average.. 40+ would be acceptable.

Are you familiar with Professor Recency Bias's theory on this subject?

decent week, 935 points takes me to 163 ranked overall.

300k in the bank and dunno if its too much of a gamble but considering api -> cleary as long as hes back this week, as well as hammer -> CNK considering his break even after his injury

    Welcome.

Don’t sound like terrible trades to me. Plenty of HOK cover I assume?

Looking at Levi, Hutch, Burbo -> Waddell, Stewart, CNK.

Gets rid of most of my spuds/players I just dislike having in my team and leaves me just needing a WFB to have a full r13 complement.

Other option is to drop Koro and pick up Nikora but I think it's worth giving him another run. Koro + Flanagan --> Nikora + Garrick might be an option next week though. Living that max trade life.

    I am a fan Professor Bias's work.

Certainly his results are a lot more robust than that of his colleague Doctor "Odd Years" Robson

Looking at cheaper WFB options to replace JC, it's probably a terrible idea with their form but AJ at 5/8 is intriguing. 47 average at 5/8 in 2022, they weren't exactly winning that much either. Only 479k with a be of 27

all this talk of Waddell has me very interested, though I would have to sell Bostock or Kris a week earlier than I'd like.

I think I'm probably going to give Waddell a miss and hope he returns to his past plodding ways, then wait a week or two and trade one of these guys to get Piakura back.

If you don't want/already have Chevy, Tom Chester could be worth a look too at sub $400k
