As it stands I could actually field a full 13 in R13, with Talagi, Hutch, and FineAF as excess.

I was leaning towards Smithies or even Tapine, but then I'd have Cheese, Angus, May, Strange, Smithies/Tapine in R14. Obviously a lot can change between now and then and I'll likely have to trade all of the above out for injuries at this rate, but just something to consider.

That's pushing me to getting Tohu. In an ideal world he plays every round from now to 18, barring R13, including the tricky R14 and 17 byes, and R16 where mids are a bit tricker and he's a captaincy option.

Warriors then have byes in 19 and 27, so flick him to a R19 keeper. Ideally a Titans, Rabbitohs, or Dolphins player who have all their byes done by then, although pickings are fairly slim (maybe that's the time to get Cook if he bounces back & presumably misses Origin).

Although, all of the above also applies to AFB, confusing matters just when I thought I'd made a decision...

Apologies to any Tohu owners. By daring to try projecting this far ahead I've guaranteed he'll get injured this week. Sorry.

Out of the two - I’d get Tohu. Got the Fantasy pedigree.

Are we holding him if we have the cash to upgrade?

I can afford to go him to Ponga and still have Lussick & Cheese to cover hooker.

    TU: Keep Api
    TD: Grab Ponga

Holding with Galvin back and was moving much freer last week. Probably the first to go if I need spending money though

Changes wedding to wedding. I've been to them where I had to pay for my own suit, but at my wedding I'm forking out for the cost of my groomsmen's suits. Not sure there's a clear answer but in my mind I think the groom should be paying for the suits.

Paid for them all at my own also.

Think the rule should really be you either pay for it if you want a certain look or.if you don't want to pay for it the groomsmen should be able to wear whatever they want, within reason. I.e. if you want them in a suit they wear what suit they have, if you want them in a shirt and tidy pants again they wear what they.have in that style too etc. Expecting people to pay for a specific suit for a one off occasion seems pretty harsh

Liverpool_Bulldog wrote:I also think that with Levi and Hutch I’d be more comfortable holding if I could loop them in but they both play after Cleary and he’s my only out this week

Out of the 4 I think I’d hold Chan to see how his role is this week. He has a low BE so isn’t going to lose any value and who knows he might have a better PPM as a bench middle compared to a big minute EDG.

It’s not inconceivable him getting 40 mins off the bench for a ~30 Avg. Also all it takes is an injury/HIA to Blore and Katoa and you’d think he’s next in line.

However Talagi could easily be back in the 13 next week so all of the above logic applies to him too and I am no closer to answering your question. Flip a coin haha.

Hutch and Levi can definitely go though, peaked and byes coming up.

People do weird things with their weddings. I had a mate who was invited to sing at the wedding of a high profile NZ musician, who was a good friend of his. He paid for his own flights to attend the wedding, sang at it for free and then discovered he wasn't invited to the wedding reception.

Haha have a very similar story. My mate just happened to be between overseas tours and in NZ and got asked to be a last minute replacement guitarist for a well known NZ band playing at a wedding reception. Did it all for free as a favour to friends. Sounds like he had a great time but was a bit stressed having to learn a bunch of songs on the fly in a few hours.

I am super suspicious on Hynes, last two weeks his KM have been in the gutter and this feels like a tactical change from the sharkies - seems likely to settling around a 60 average? Genuinely thinking about grabbing Fifita instead.

    Hutch, Levi, Talagi, Chan?

I'd launch Chan and Talagi into the sun. Both will have low minute bench roles and lose the cash they have made. Levi and Hutch atleast have starting spots where they could end up with attacking stats

14k short of Hutch and Campbell to Chester and Ponga. Rip. Even if I throw in a Levi/Chan/Kris/Burbo third trade there's noone sub-377k that I'm sure I want to trade in 🫠

Groomsmen pay for their own, bridesmaid taken care of by the couple is the way most of my friends have done it

Bridesmaid most of the time end up with a dress that they can't really use for anything else, while groomsmen have a suit they can probably get another 5 years out of

We didn't have any groomsmen or bridesmaid for mine though

The bros I'd be picking as my groomsmen probably wouldn't let me pay even if I offered. They're at least close enough that I'd be able to have the conversation with them if money was an object. At worst I'd say "in lieu of a gift" or something along those lines.
