NRL Fantasy 2024 Part 30 - I'm not furious, I'm just disappointed

Pretty thought provoking discussion on weddings. I got engaged two weeks ago and hadn't thought of the logistics around groomsmen/bridesmaids or the gift process. One workaround is making a "wish list" of things people could purchase that you might need. Come to think of it, there's not even $500 worth of things I "need".

Brandon Smith isn't even going to hit his BE, is he?

People getting married pay for the suits. If you want a small wedding where that doesn't happen, don't have a bridal party
Was best man for a wedding, groom asked us to pay for our own suits. Which is fine. More of a coin goat mate than cash cow. What annoyed me was been told what suit to buy, and that suit been tarocash garbage. As someone who wears suits for work, I’d like to have something I’d actually wear.
Bottoms line is it shouldn’t matter either way. If you’re in bridal party it’s because you’re close to bride/groom and irrespective you should be happy for them and do what it takes to make it a good day. It’s only money.

Katoa hits 50 so I can not be concerned about him anymore tonight, time for Blore to score.
Kind on annoying owning both Edges on the same team.

100% this. Don't buy people shit you don't know if they want. Just a waste of money, space and junk.
Just in general we don't need presents.
We stopped doing Xmas presefor everyone but the kids years ago and it's great.
Milch calf's last birthday party we asked for no presents. Then we didn't have to take home a bunch of useless plastic crap he doesn't really want or need. Still got presents from a bunch of kids anyway, but mostly just vouchers, and a lot less than we otherwise would have gotten

Is their a lull and a hesitancy to comment every time Jennings is involved or is it all in my head ? Thought the same last week

I assume you gave them their favourite player in draft for their birthday?

Congrats on the engagement
I don't know if I'd call a bridal registry a "workaround"
It was the norm for ages.
Peter's of Kensington still exists , so I assume at least some people still use them

Manu's turn to be FB, I think Teddy is on the decline. Big call, he just flips around like a nervous wreck to much, Teddy needs to pick a hole or an angle and go hard

Oh damn, I promptly forgot about your escapades when I was pumping his tyres! Sorry mate- didn’t mean to put salt in the wound! The Blore chat is cancelled until next week!

Man's here complaining that his "worse edge" has scored 41 in 53 minutes. Some of us have Brandon Smith mate.Weiland wrote:Katoa hits 50 so I can not be concerned about him anymore tonight, time for Blore to score.

He started the year off so well, it's unfortunate he copped that head knock.
Hopefully he still gets back to his best but I'm certainly not convinced he will.

I'm going to get divorced, get married again, invite Trent Robinson to the wedding and ask him to play Zack Docker Clay for no more than 10 minutes.
