Yeah, I don't see Talagi just walking into that spot. Even Simo potentially at FB? Could open a centre spot if Sivo is dropped and Simo or Russel move there.

Just snooping at NSW Cup Eels teams

Asi was ineligible to play NRL due to failed HIA but then rolled out for NSW Cup team 9 days after. Does that seem not ok to anyone?

Cini is the poster child for taking reserve grade stats with a pinch of salt.

He must have met the exemption criteria and Eels must have got it approved

I still don't understand a lot about that situation. I mentioned it at the time, but apparently the independent doctor actually cleared Asi on the day and he was back out on the bench ready to go back on the field before the team learned that the bunker had classified him as category one and ruled him out of the match.

So maybe they got an exemption in the aftermath, but if so, was he not able to play first grade for some reason? I truly have no idea what happened with that whole situation but it's very peculiar.

Yeah if he actually passed the test and then had no symptoms the following days then sounds like a pretty straightforward exemption (only other aspect is number of concussions recently and in career). Looks like he just got dropped from first grade.

It's just all so vague, which reflects the nature of head injuries, but I reckon it would be good if some of these decisions were more transparent i.e. NRL.com updated these nuances as a minimum. Same as salary cap stuff - a bit ridiculous that Trai Fuller's NRL status is word of mouth rather than something documented by NRL somewhere accessible for media and fans. Then again, probably just nerds like me (us?) that care.

    haha probably that last part.

i dont really know how 'train and trial' deals work. is part of the problem that they aren't really centrally managed by NRL?

Not a Talagi owner but won’t likely get any useful news with eels on the bye this week to help those who are trying to work out what to do with him

Sad thing about that is it makes even less sense than the HIA thing. Like I was moaning about on the weekend, he'd played 120mins of good footy for the Eels in their only win in four weeks, and they were still in the contest when we went off with his HIA against the Dolphins. Couldn't see anything he'd done to warrant being dropped.

Cheers, I was not able to watch the games. NRL.com doesn't tell you who took the misses in the game summaries.
It was one of the funniest goal kicking displays in a long time (maybe since the toe punt was phased out).
One of Guthos shanks was for the ages. After that one Brown had a go…..looked like his first ever attempt.

I'd love to hold a Chester or Lussick this week as I have about 15 players I'd like to have a chance to loop, but too many attractive options and no one else ready to be dumped, yet.

It's going to be a pick n' stick week for me this time around.
