Guess Gutho is an out before Russell. Probably means I need a new WFB next week unless Russell returns

As operation ditch raiders players comes into effect, who is likely to be the better medium term hold - Seb Kris or Ethan Strange

I have 4 WFBs ahead of Kris, so whilst handy, the DPP isn't crucial. But will probably dump 1 this week or next, and keep the other one through to at least the 2nd big bye.

    Gutho & Chester... Sad Damn.

I guess Cheese can stay a week and gutho on the exit now.

Next week going to need 2 trades already to field 17 with Kris and Strange out. What a howler of a year at the back.

So now who goes for Brailley? Strange, Talagi, or Russell? What a week for Parra to have the bye! I guess it can wait one week as I’ve probably got 19 players this week. Saving a trade, I guess now’s as good as any time to start.

Never usually feel set with trades prior to teamlists. But this week locking in these two for sure

    Strange to Atkinson
    TMay to SWalker

Leaves a nice 323k for the third or bankroll for next week.

Would love some thoughts on this…
    Worked out I can go
    T.May + D.Brown + J.Kiraz > Armstrong + Hynes + AFB

Leaves 7K… according to my calculator Hynes has another 15 games at an average of 74 (last year) gets him another 1,110 points and AFB has another 16 games at an average of 58-60 which nets him another 812+ points for the year.

The Dolphins are hoping to be boosted by the return of backrowers Felise Kaufusi and Connelly Lemuelu for Saturday’s Queensland derby with the Cowboys. Kaufusi is on track to return from a hamstring injury while rising forward Lemuelu punched out 80 minutes in the Hostplus Cup last weekend in his first game back from a knee problem. If Kaufusi and Lemuelu are cleared to play, they will be welcome returns for a team smashed by injuries.

Broncos recruits Tom Flegler and Herbie Farnworth are still a month away from playing due to shoulder problems while star fullback Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow is facing another fortnight out. (Travis Meyn)

Trading Brown and Kiraz seems like forcing the trade to me. Without Moses or Gutho, pretty much anything Eels do will be through Brown.

I was close to get AFB last week but now there's no point. No value. Why sell Dylbro and Kiraz? Are you not bothered about overall and bye round cover?

I was reluctant to do this trade and have been holding back due to thinking that Brailey is just a slightly more glamorous Lussick. This is true but as the season has progressed Lussick is now a slightly less glamorous Lussick.

Having watched both players the last few weeks I think Brailey, while not a world beater, is definitely a senior player in the knights team who takes charge and will stodge his way to 35-45 most weeks. He occasionally makes a run from dummy half.

Lussick is not a senior player, does not take charge and tbh the only things he has got over Hands are size and an inherent conservatism. He is less likely to make an error because he never takes any risks & by the same token he never creates anything.

I bagged him out earlier in the season yet still bought him when he was down for 80 minutes but really he needs about 120 minutes to make it worthwhile. He is the definition of a player who is no fun.

This is why I switched Lussick for Brailey last week.
Once Ponga was ruled out, Brailey became the team captain on the field.
I'm assuming he will pump out 70+ minutes each week. No attacking flair, but a tackle-bot who delivers the ball to his forwards and then out to the playmakers.

    35-45 average.

You need to fix your spreadsheet if it’s telling you to trade Brown

It may not be the spreadsheet. It could be ghosts.

Lots of times I hear stray dogs telling me to get some whiskey, or codes hidden in car alarms telling me to get more whiskey. Or look in the mirror and see my lips saying 'whiskey'.

    Ghosts are tricky.
