NRL Fantasy 2024 Part 36 - Undercover Mods

I scored an 885 rank still the same at 14k.

The good was C Hynes, Cotter, Bateman, Angus, Drinkwater.

The bad was Waddell, Pap getting injured, Brailey and Piakura.

Just under 900, fairly happy with that copping Cheese score and no Cotter/Robson.

Trades this week were Api, Cleary, Lussick for Manu, Bateman and Brailey. Outside of Braileys minutes pretty happy with the result. I think Brailey will be back to big mins when not playing on a sodden frankenfield.

Next week just got Pap and maybe Cheese to deal with. Holding May through r13 now I think. Probably just bring in Garrick and call it a day. Maybe Watson in for Cheese if it's longish term though.

Brimson unlikely to play fullback when Campbell is back in round 11 or so.
They have played him at centre and 5/8 to accommodate Campbell.

Fullback is Brimson's best position in my opinion.
I would try Campbell at 5/8 and see what happens. He is tough enough but migh be still too small.

Is JC even an option for Titans anymore? He could really be the odd man out. I know JC is there until 2026, same with Brimson, but it's become glaringly obvious AJ is a FB

The question I’d be asking if buying Faalogo is what will I do needing to trade him out when Papenhuyzen returns with the 15 injury forced trades I’ll be using in the next 6 weeks

Are the bunker intentionally making shocking calls in order to get fans outraged? No one posts on social media quite like a pissed off fan, so it makes sense to have as many contentious calls as possible.

How else do explain some of the shocking calls this weekend against a bunch of different teams

Only real disappointments are Waddell and Piakura but they are pretty popular. Would have been nice to be able to stick with my original plan and get Cleary's points vs the wooden spooners instead of playing Piakura

With Smithies out in need for a MID so targeting teams that play 13+14 which leaves a very small short list

Mikaele (minutes risk), Matterson (minutes risk) and Sorensen (injury risk) are the top of the list but will have to see how things play out

Papy replacement almost certainly going to be Taylan May

Just had a quick trawl through Barry Tooheys tweets and getting the vibe that Braileys lower minutes were due to the track and weather. But also they seem to like what Crossland provides when coming on for 20-30 minutes. 

Shoulder injury seems to be just a stinger and no concerns going forward

Me too. I had my eye on May and was going to grab him the week he sat out. I then watched him for the Cows game and was 50/50. Will probably pick him up as 520K for a keeper CTR/WFB with good byes from the best team in the comp is a good deal although, watching him, he's starved of ball as Luai steps back on the inside every fucking time. So, there's some hesitation there.
