Do we think Fainu will play 80 going forward? Like him as a Salmon replacement

Given the conditions I think he was very very safe at the back. Nothing flashy but was solid, great under the high ball in the crazy winds and had no mistakes that would have pissed obrien off.
As a new owner, very happy for his JS.

I think with the amount of time he's had out, since then Crossland has established himself in that hooker role as opposed to just being a utility. We all know he's not very good but stepped up last year for them. Maybe the coach just sees him more as a hooker at times. I'm sure yesterday was an anomaly, but there's more risk of Crossland taking minutes off him than in previous years.
Well looks like I’ll be trading him out after 50k worth of price rises if I’m luckymickspicks wrote:
It's because of his injuries and the way the game has changed for 9s. Crossland adds an element to their attack that JBrai doesn't.
He can play 80 but every time he doesn't, the Knights look better. Crossland has developed probably better than most envisioned. Knights will probably persist with him playing 80 but that's just stubbornness from AOB and co.

As long as they keep Bateman at lock then I reckon there’s a good chance. Unless Seyfarth is going to vulture some minutes every now and againWeiland wrote:Do we think Fainu will play 80 going forward? Like him as a Salmon replacement

Probably as low as 65 but seems to be trending towards 80.

Yeah, I'm liking for Salmon too. Seems dangerous on that edge, can't see any better options in the team at the moment.

You forgot about a training or warm up injury or a slip in the shower or an off field discretion. Thanks anyway. The point I was trying to make was the back up options suck so I have haven’t traded one in. I got rid of Levi, Lussick, and Cheese in consecutive weeks. The other thing is there is no point having two good HOK for Rd 13.mickspicks wrote:

I got him a couple of weeks back. Isn't a relaxing watch - lots of energy, good work, stupid decisions. Plus coach risk.
I'm not furious I went there, but a chill watch-the-points-slowly-roll-in dude he ain't.

A trade free week? Two Raiders on the bye, Weekes first trade next week (in all formats except SC as I have no idea how to get into 5/8 or FB) and hopefully my Parramatta mess corrects itself tomorrow. Who to Captain though? Garrick, Angus or Hynes? I like Garrick, but isn’t it madness to Captain on a Thursday? He will at least be my VC.

If BA co operates and starts Talagi, it'll be a trade free week hopefully

Hard to find a fullback to replace Papy with. Might go the TayMay path but could spend up on Drinkwater. Hooker also appears to be the new centre this year.
Papy to Drinkwater
Strange to Fainu
Looks pretty nice, would still be running no hooker cover with just Brailey though.

Via roosters - Brandon Smith has sustained a minor calf strain, which was confirmed via an MRI. Smith will be looking to work with the Club's rehabilitation team in an effort to be available for this week's Round 10 match against the New Zealand Warriors at Allianz Stadium.

Waddell relegated to 18th man, until further notice.

Pappy > May
Salmon > Bateman
Chan > Fainu
Might go with May instead for a R13 WFB

Had 8k ITB instead of 7k so can do move of Murray + Papenhuyzen
Jolliffe + Garrick
Eisenhuth + Drinkwater (0k left)
1st one seems obvious but 2nd helps my immediate R13. Luciano Leilua back might throw spanner in works

Early trades are Paps > Wighton & Strange > Manu for me. Wighton could be sneaky undervalued. Annoying paying overs for Manu but will do a job during the byes. While we're dumpster diving in shit teams I'm very interested if Arrow gets the 13 jumper tomorrow
