Would like Matterson a lot more if he didn't get such poor minutes off the bench so far this year. Previous couple years his scoring off the bench was still very good so would be nice to have that to fall back to if Carty gets his spot back. If he keeps the starting edge spot he's a must have but we all know BA shenanigans and hard to trust him staying there. Will probably take the punt over Fainu.

Is this nobody partnering Walker a buy? Or do we just assume Wighton or Latrell is playing halves at some stage?

Trying to not trade this week.
Only really looking at Weekes (Rd.10).
Pap's injury means I can grab anyone up to $590k > have enough WFB to cover him.
Am thinking of taking a risk on Matto getting more minutes, a bigger role at the Eels moving forward.
I know Carty is due back soon, but suspensions / Origin / injuries as they are, Matto is too good a player to be a low minute reserve.

Thoughts?
Other options? S. Fainu being one.
Or, wait another week and get a look at Havilli in the 13?

Yeah I'm tempted by Matto or Fainu as cheap alternatives to Batman. Matto could be excess for Rd 13 unless Angus and Hynes play origin, so Fainu could be more useful if he doesn't get himself suspended. Ideally SHughes scores well enough to hold the trade.

Think I'm gonna punt Sorenson. That's like his 3rd injury this year, so probably only disappoint on return anyway.

I'm mildly interested in Cody. I already have Hynes, SWalker, Galvin, Atkinson, Plath and Strange though so I really don't need another half. Great price, and well undervalued if doing >= half of the kicking. Will watch another week to see.

Yeah it was him and Leota in the casualty ward, then Leota returned the next week and.. nothing. I'm pretending I traded in a guy who scored 35 in 37 mins and limped off, played injured again the next week for 37 in 35 mins and finally succumbed to the injury. What a battler, but time to go.

Unsure on Papy replacement between Fa'a, Kiraz, TayMay or Drinkwater.

Fa'a would be nice for cash plus points if he can average 40 but also requires a trade back out in ~6 weeks(?) (Initial talk was 6-8wks from nrlphysio but storm have said 4-6 I think? Get the feeling it's certainly going to be longer than 4).

Kiraz and May could hopefully hang around in CTR all the way if needed. Particularly like Kiraz playing both 13+16.

Might be worth paying up for Drinky but only plays one of the major byes which becomes less ideal when paying 700k, and limits my second trade to Fainu instead of Matto.

If he can keep playing a plodder like Lussick then Matterson should be a no brainer

At my rank I need to take a punt on somebody. If he can score anything like he has historically then happy days.

Yeah people are going to have another sniff at Foran maybe, but Walker in same situation of being last half standing, same-ish price, much better fantasy scorer historically.

I feel one of the Souths halves is going to be a must buy, but it is probably sensible to wait a week.

At the moment I'm going
Paps -> Drink (not settled)
Murray -> Matto (or Fainu, with MID sucking this year)

And 3rd may be a Salmon or Cheese sale, not sure who is on the menu yet.

Wouldn't mind grabbing Aitken though. Even at 690k I think he's a buy. Just wish I'd known the spot was his 4 rounds ago, or had the balls to make the play like Rhinoooooooo.
