With Hopoate at FB my thinking is that they would most likely be doing because they expect Koula to come back in after the bye so its just a 1 week thing.

So, they don't muck around with Garrick just for the week.

That's my rationalisation for going Fuller to Manu rather then Koula to Wishart to cover my WFB this week.

yeah lussick sucks and im assuming hands comes in on bench.

its not really about holding lussick, but just trading out the most useless players first, and lussick seems to be more capable of a shitty 30+ than mikaele..

whoever i dont trade this week will probably go next week anyway, so it might be a pointless discussion

I know what you mean though, it's just the insurance of going in next week. Same thinking for me with Kris.

Saying that, it's disappointing as Lussick played 80 last week. If he scored 40 last week, we're probably not even having this conversation. We'd be playing him this week and riding him into next week and trading or holding for 14. His 31 points last week was just fucking putrid. Left even more of a bitter taste than I already had.

Saying that, I am worried Hands comes onto the bench and Carty starts with Matto back to the bench too.

Barrett didn't say much. Spoke pretty well given the situation to be fair. Sounds like he might want to change things up in the future with the team but not this week.

"We may do some things differently over the course of the next few months but this wasn't the week to do it."

Hands isn't really a hooker though is he, more of a half.
Just forced to play there because Parra had no other options

I'd say Lussick is relatively safe until they sign someone else

It was but Koula out this week means I only have 16.

Manu compared to Fuller only misses 16. Fuller will also miss 15, 17 (if Hammer backs up), 18

The hope is Koula comes back round 14 and given we are trading out Origin players im thinking that spending up my bank and getting a gun like Manu is better than getting in Wishart and having a bank of 350k.

I have Armstrong and Egan as definite holds, so out of the other 3 who would you be trading? Do we think Chester comes into the side next week? Still a bit of value there prices at 29, and think he can average 35-40. Both he and KPP fit nicely into my team next week, so tempted to trade Koula, but if he's only out 2 weeks that will be annoying.

Delaying the decision to the last game and penciling KPP to Aitken is probably the answer - pull the trigger if my H2H looks winnable, otherwise hold.

    R13 Team:

I’ve still got Chester. Holding and praying he comes right back in

Hughes 24 underwhelming. Sadly I have no Kiraz, Max, Mahoney or Curran either.

Good start for me 1/24 lol!

And re Lomax that’s why he’s not an origin player too many errors in his game and poor discipline

    I hear your pain mate.

Congrats to all who held Pink Fish. (Either willingly, or by luck because you had other fires to put out for 10 weeks).
That said, like Talakia (when he pants Harper) I reckon we've just witnessed the greatest game of his career.
It kind of reminded me of the Eels vs. Storm game when Stone grabbed a double. Salmon will be telling the story of last night's game at pubs, BBQs and dinner parties for the rest of his life.

pure footy terms i think they just need ~someone~ to spell him. lussick looks like the least capable hooker in the nrl of playing 80. so slow. offers nothing. drops off tackles.

like you might play him 40 mins because hes a chonky bloke to soak up the early mins and then give someone with a bit of attack and speed a go later in the game.

Because we love 1 game sample sizes here... Wishart has started at five eighth alongside halfback Jahrome Hughes once. He kicked the ball for 0 meters and scored 22.

I might grab Wighton but its pretty close.. basically the same price..

Wighton - slightly better byes. DPP ctr slightly more useful. shit team (maybe an upswing with coaching future sorted etc) . ~could play halves all season/at worst back to centre but still playable? important with how trades are flying out the door.
Wishart -  low BE. good team. would get 6 games if munster is back round 20, so plenty of time to make bulk cash, but a forced trade is annoying.

either way it will feel pretty good to punt Lussick, which means he'll get a double.

    I've gone Wighton.
My rank is so bad that swinging for the stands is the only option left.
That, and the pure joy of picking up a fallen gun (Angus the Great anybody) while they are still cheap and riding the price increases, watching everyone else jump on when he costs $100k more.
(Just like Ando keeps informing us of how he picked up Angus "before anyone else")
I've rolled the dice on Matto as well.

I'll either be crowing like a bastard, or will take my serving of humble pie when it all falls to pieces.

Chester is sitting down the very bottom of my team with the 3 knights boys. Someone posted that he's having a run in reserve grade this week so hopefully it's just some time in the legs and bring him in next week especially with Val Holmes out for origin you'd imagine he jumps straight back in. Has been the first picked for a while and cows don't look great so could use.him

Considering trading him to wishart tonight though.

I'm a h2h player and only have 7 for next week as it is so I'm not really fussed about next week.

Yeah Chester is in ressies tonight against the Logan boys. Starting FB so he isn't really being eased into anything alongside Braidon Burns who could also be a crack at the role of replacing Holmes. Burns was named to play the wing over Chester until Feldt was cleared.

Could just be a positional thing, easing Chester back in with a Ressies game first. The issue don't know the pecking order between Chester and Burns while Vailea seems to be ahead of Burns for a CTR role. If you own Chester you hold out for a week, but if he doesn't make the squad next week you probably have to look at moving him on particularly if Burns gets a crack ahead of him. Sadly I won't be at the game so will miss the chance to see how Chester pulls up this week.

In saying all that, Chester could be out next week, play the following week scoring 80 have us all trade him in and then in the third week score 4 and be injured.
