KPP probably needs to go so I can field 17 and Dolphins players are bye friendly. CTR keeper to finish the season, so not the worst trade.

I brought him in this week, needed a CTR this week and an EDG next week. Really handy dual over the bye rounds linking forwards and backs (same as Plath who I also have).

Trying to pick an edge, Aitken is probably the best I could get, but having Plath, Fuller, Strange, Weeks, May and Angus, adding another player not playing round 14 would just be too hard.

What poor discipline? There isn’t a NRL player alive that wouldn’t have made contact there. The errors came from effort - one of the few players who could hold his head high form that disaster half.

Lots of Origin players make errors and have poor discipline anyway.

Ultimately there are a dozen Campbell Graham types running around at CTR and WG in the comp at any time, and one guy who can do Zac Lomax things. Same with Latrell. Back the talent. You can instil discipline and control, you can’t instil talent like that
What poor discipline he’s always had that in his game and silly errors and brain farts in his game he’s played better this year but I don’t think he’s origin standard. No wonder Dragons are moving him on not worth the big money he was paid Flanno wants to use the cash elsewhere.

I would never swap Campbell Graham for Lomax personally

mamo dropping out of the team, or mamo continuing to get 20-30 mins a game, are both realistic possibilities i would think.

i'll grab cook if there's any sign Mamo is pissing off.
Mamo isn’t gonna be dropped he’s got the bench spot rest of the year.

Riley from Talking League spoke to Damien at Magic round this will persist some weeks 80 and some weeks not.

Trade Koula to field 17? Other option would be I have four knights Brailey,Elliot,KPP and Armstrong would leave me with 12 trades though. Or do I just take the hit and field 16?

2nd sin binning of his career. So he's not a Milne. Or a Mitchell. Or a Walker. Or a Burgess.

There's not an NRL player alive that wouldn't make some contact in that situation. He probably didn't make enough contact.

Like that's an insane take to say his poor disciplined.

And he has errors like a lot of elite players that try and make things happen. Good coaches and leaders find a way with talent. Poor coaches and leaders choose Campbell Graham Rolling Laugh

Lomax cursed his career ever since he mocked Griffin on the footy show.

But seriously. Anyone else see how much Hunt dislikes Lomax? He's absolutely filthy at him when he pretty much does anything lol. I love to see it. Lomax's ego is more inflated than his overpriced paycheck to Parra.

Griffin: that's it Zac, put away that flick pass! I don't care if it's literally our only attacking outlet, other than give the ball to Hunt -> ??? -> profit!

Lomax: mocks Griffin with Fletch and Hindy

    Griffin: gets sacked

Lomax: early leader in Dally M, NSW Origin consideration, long-term contract with Parra, functioning sternum

Correct I’ve never liked him either! Parra paying him 650k too he’d wanna perform there or they’ll shop him early too

I personally think Lomax is a numpty, but I don't know the lad.
He's got an ego, that's clear, but as an elite footy player he's probably had people around him blowing smoke at him since he first laced up a boot.
He's still in his twenties, I've run into many young fellas who have ego issues and they aren't earning mega-bucks playing football. Let's cut him some slack.

If the Knights got him, I'd sit back and enjoy the talent on display. (And laugh at the brainsnaps that come with trying to make something happen).
And, I'd happily see him get an Origin wing spot.

A few months ago there was media where Hunt was saying how he talks to Lomax a lot and Lomax is open about seeking advice.

Always a real danger when people see stuff on the field and assume that reflect people and/or relationships off it.

Lomax is good at RL...he is not good at putting together beard and hair combos (facing stiff competition from Angus for the Blake Austin perpetual trophy this year though)

Like Rob said he tries things and they either do or don't come off....some of them are ill advised and some of them are magic. There is no point expecting him to be a steady consistent 7.5 out of 10 player, it's not him. As he gets older his ratio of magic to ill advised will probably get better

Latrell is the same type of player

Walsh is the same type of player

Munster is the same type of player

all elite sportsmen are arrogant & self-centred...you have to be to make it at that level your focus is 100% on yourself you don't want or need distractions.
my father was an elite sportsman he played rugby & rugby league for auckland...he often said to me once he got married that was the end of it because now he had to sacrifice his training time to spend time with his family which he had no regrets over.

If you look at the leading players for errors in 2023, there are a lot of Origin players and NZ internationals

Almost like you make more mistakes if you're more involved.

Luke Covell was the perfect 7.5 player, highly underrated, always in the right spot for a try or to save one. (OK maybe 7.0)

Just forced to play there because Parra had no other options

I'd say Lussick is relatively safe until they sign someone else

If the Eels view him more as a half, wouldn't he have gotten a chance alongside Brown like Asi, Sanders (rookie who is leaving), Talagi (future fullback)?
