Can't see much point in holding off the Hynes trade.
Even if he has a shocker in Origin (I doubt he will), he'll almost certainly be rested next week, and you won't know if he's dumped till a week after that.

Meanwhile, you can take Kris's 20 points and marvel at how one can do so little yet be so secure in their job (am I talking about myself here?)

    I'm holding off.
Only need to make 1 trade to field a team this week, so dumping Crichton instead. More certain of origin, and just as bad bye schedule.

From a fantasy point of view, best case for Hynes is they deem him too risky for origin so replace him with Keary, but he's fit enough to play for the Sharks. That's pretty unlikely, but I don't really gain anything trading him this week, so no reason not to hold on and see what happens. Assuming the most likely scenario happens, and he doesn't play next week, can always trade him then and have better information as to who will be taking the field.

Hynes to Kelma for a cool $1.15m cash in the bank, or just trade a green dot in Kris to him and still play with 12.

Hmm too cheap to be considered risky in my book, same with Hands. Should at least get what you pay for and potential for high upside.

Preston was one of my favourites to watch last year, so I like taking the gamble that he'll cement his spot again. Bloke's a footy player.

Looking like a HOK/MID is a good trade for me next week.

Any thoughts on how to pick between Randall and Clark?

    Slightly more useful stats
What percentage of people that own certain players are setting them as captain

People playing this week only. Moses less popular then Tedesco, but percentage wise, more people that own him are chucking the C on him
Was looking for Terrell May when I got these stats, but less than 5% of owners are captaining him. guess the rest are mostly dead teams who traded him in early and still have the captaincy on Cleary or someone.

Was probably going to get Randall in rd12 when I had no hooker, however then he had to play 5/8th.

Assuming he goes back to starting hooker next week and plays 60+ (he should do but question mark on if maybe Des has liked what he has seen from Verrills) I think he's a good option. Scoring down this year but he averaged 50 when playing over 60mins last year so reason to think he can up his average.

Randall is no good while he's at 5/8, I would only even think about it once he's back at hooker (or ideally as a middle only).

Clark seems okay but is at risk of losing minutes if Randall moves into the middle.

Looks like Foran returns next week so that should push him back to HOK.

Not a decision I need to make this week so will see how it all pans out.

ATTENTION READERS – I MAY HAVE FOUND THE POD YOU HAVE ALL BEEN LOOKING FOR!

Been combing through some options to come into my side this week. Been looking for a player that I can use over this origin period that will also suffice as an option either in my starting 13 or off the bench for the remainder of the season.
I have found a very handy candidate.

He has MID/EDG DPP. He is 558K – in 2023 he got up to the heights of 717K when given the 80 minute back row position for his club. He is currently only in 2.87% of teams (around 6% of the top 100). He has also already had 1 of his byes.
He is priced at 40 and currently averaging 36.2 points this year due to an injury affected 19 and a low 30’s off the bench. Without these 2 games his average bumps up to 45 (40, 54, 42) which have been minutes affected.

For games at second row and playing over 50 minutes, in 2021 he had 1 game for 50 points, 2022 he had 1 game for 30 points (was a loss against Cowboys in the last game of the round), 2023 he averaged 52.5 points.

This bloke is SCOTT SORENSON. He plays for the Panthers so points will always be on offer. He should be clued on to 80 minutes per game, barring injury or HIA. Is a solid defender, can run a good line, and plays on the lethal left edge of the Panthers.

He had a career best season in 2023 but I am a firm believer he can hit those heights again and sit around a 50 average which sees him about 140K underpriced. Put him in my middles this week for me and will work as a fantastic bench option moving forward with DPP and under 600K.

Definitely not nailed onto 80 mins anymore I think. Garner proven himself during Sorensen injury and now Lindsay Smith is being used as EDG

Those concerned about bringing in Teddy due to too many chooks etc round 14. Something to consider is the weather in Sydney. Forecast of 10-50mm on Sunday and up to 25mm the day before. I already own him and some of the old crew know I love a WFB captain more than anyone but im a bit concerned old short stud teddy is gonna be slipping and tripping all game and may not be the blowout most anticipate because of the conditions. Its either him or new recruit Aitken for me but i hate captaining the "new guy".

Clark probably the better option out of the 2, but would probably sit in your EMG after origin.
Maybe Koro or Cook are better options as they could fill a spot in the final 17.
Or Hands as a cash-out (also EMG after origin)

Hynes can go next week unless there's some radical unexpected shift in circumstances

Quite a few people here have discussed Sorensen over the past few weeks. The community team already has him

But in a season where injuries are killing our fantasy teams, getting a guy who has already missed a bunch of games through injury is a risk. He's about to start consecutive games for just the 2nd time this season. Certainly there is potential value there if he stays fit and stays starting though

Garner was a placeholder for Sorenson, yes he played well but just bad timing with injury or good one scotts behalf. Smith will be a bench role at best and will likely jump in for Martin at times who historically is not an 80 minute edge. I’m happy to take the gamble. Low risk high reward
