I personally can't get behind the JDB pick, and not for any moral or ethical reasons. I just think their lineup is so unsettled. Is anyone from their pack out for him to benefit? Mind you, he hasn't scored below 40 once this year whereas King has done so 3 times (wanted to say thrice but it sounded douchey in my head) and I'm probably picking him up. Not sure why I feel better about King over JDB.

I have 12 starting ( plus Talagi in the loop). Hands looks too good to be true, but he can just rot in 18-21 if he is as good as that other cheap 80 min Parra HOK who was indeed too bad to be true. He would be my real 13th player and would fund my Smithies and KPP upgrades. With this trade I have no one of any real captain ability so Teddy is my answer. This then creates the RD 14 potential 5 on byes. I still have no idea what to do. Then you have the Talagi /Hands potential of cannibalising each other. What a fun game this is.

Sele, who was soaking about 40 minutes or so, hurt his shoulder and is out for a while.

This week specifically the Couchman won't eat up too many minutes you'd imagine. Can see him getting 60 minutes this week.

No I only have 13 trades if I make 2 this week and have enough cover for the weeks that Penrith play. I'm trying to go into trade hibernation mode

Trying to talk myself into Hands. If he scores 30 then Mahoney needs to score close to 90 at his price to be of equal value. JMK is a no go due to the Rd 14 nightmare. The Rd 16 HOK situation looks pretty shit. Do I get Hands (mostly as en enabler) who can be used 13 and 19 and go no HOK in 16 or hold the trade and get JMK for 16 and 19 and play 1 down this round without a HOK. I really hate wasting trades at HOK!

Anyone got any idea what Parra’s plan is with Talagi at 14? Is he just injury cover for the backs (ie Gutho and Moses)?

What’s wrong with 13 trades left after this week?

I’m down to 11 and likely making another 3 next week Lol Lol

I posted this "rumour". Read it on Eels forum. Not sure if based on anything. Probably just fan forum pontificating

I am keen however I’m worried they’re rushing him back early from injury just to get the numbers in

Last week I was gonna make three trades.

WT Winfield, I think, suggested something about that and I made no trades instead.

Turned out all three got HIA or injured.

    Maybe you have a vibe.

I hope not, I have JDB.

its probably something that won't happen for any meaningful length of time. eg talagi goes on for a forward but plays mostly fb while gutho hides on the side of the ruck in defense.

hands maybe gets a short break at some point or just off after 68.3 mins and doesnt return (depending on how he's holding up).. but i'm going to be surprised if there's any real plan for him to be off the field for a long period. and yes i am drawing conclusions to suit my narrative since i'm going to grab him

Asi & Moretti both playing cup, so no late changes for eels. same goes for hiroti/burns for the sharks

The Tigers’ season has gone from bad to worse with Kiwi forward Isaiah Papali’i having an operation to repair a badly damaged ankle.

Papali’i went under the knife earlier this week with the injury now expected to sideline the back-rower for at least two months. (Telegraph)
