Haas and Grant hopefully back up. Cotter could be an issue. Armstrong could be an issue.

Rather than Jurbo's minutes, it seems Leniu is forever destined to be low minute man
There was a period in the 2nd half when NSW will still technically in the game, but struggling to get field position.
Leniu made a killer 20m run to get them on the front foot, and was subbed off the next play.
haha i remember that. lenius face as he was coming off the field was a proper 'wtf???'

He'd only been on for 6mins after returning from his HIA too

If Leniu and Mikaele were ever in the same team, the other props would certainly need to be fit bastards
Yeah, that was insane. I was happy he was coming off as he was the only one threatening to get NSW field position. Fucking strange tactic.

3 trades locked in for me with the 4th in the back pocket if Armstrong is actually dropped.
Oregon Kaufusi -> Fainu
Angus -> Fifita
Walsh -> Trell (I think Madge will be stubborn)
Armstrong -> Preston or Carty Party

It's all very easy to sit back and play holier than thou when you win. QLD do the exact same thing and then thump their chest about Origin spirit BS

Anyone wanting to drop Jurbo has rocks in their head. He did his job perfectly. 26 tackles 0 missed. Only forward with 100% tackle efficiency. Madge giving him a 4 minute stint when chasing points was largely tactical
5 runs for 30 odd metres and cant go back on the field because team is chasing points? There are plenty of other props that can make 26 tackles without any misses but offer more in attack.
Jurbo is out of steam.

Might have been interested in Barnett if he played rd 16

You don't pick Jurbo for hard stats, you pick him for the intangibles that matter in Origin. Same reason why McInnes should have been picked years ago.
NSW have enough go-forward with Haas, Yeo and Leniu (plus Murray to come back)

Looking at round 16, WFB looks dire. Can see why many are risking a Latrell trade in. Might have to pay overs for Kiraz too come that week.

Don't really need to make the Hughes to Seyfarth trade this week, getting a shuffling deck chairs vibe.
Overthinking it?
Start debating the deck chairs metaphor thing again?

Even if there were more WFBs around for that, if Trell is not picked in Origin he is a must-own in 16 and 19. Guys like that can end your season if they score a 100 while your shittos score 25 each.

I don't disagree. But I think if Madge is serious, he needs to pick him.

I disagree. Madge won't bow to public pressure and he values effort above all else. Trell is very good but he's not that kind of guy and never has been.
I was very impressed with the level of effort from NSW playing 70 mins with a man down and I highly doubt Madge will go against that to fit Trell in, when he can just move Burton into centre.

Have Weekes, Faalogo and Wishart for 16. Surely Papy comes back for 17, make sure that leg is fully healed.
Or comes back 15 and falls into Origin somehow

Isn’t Best back by origin 2? He was great for them last year and Crichton didn’t lose any fans last night, surely that’s the centre pairing right there.

It's not public pressure, it's picking a guy in his natural position that can win you a game.
As a QLDer, I'd much rather NSW pick Burton over Latrell.
