If I trade out Crichton, Mikaele and Armstrong* this week I can then wait to trade one of Shoes, Salmon, Matto to Hands in the last game

    I don’t think I’m playing with 17 this week

All you amateurs tying yourself in knots over what to do with Shoes 😂

Any ‘serious’ player knows the correct strategy is to delay the trade until the last minute, forget kick off time, have a couple of early cans and get the team accidentally locked in before you can do anything about it…..job done.

Whether Ming is out or not, is hoping it leads to more minutes for Shoes the same as thinking Mikaele will get more minutes because the Cowboys have some outs?

It’s a great take that Hughes played 15 mins instead of his usual 30-35 so he had the stamina to go 50 in case Max Kings missus had a baby

I like the idea that Shoes has a video game style health meter where he’s good for exactly 35 minutes average, so playing 15 gets him to 50 the next. Exactly how fitness works.

And does it matter if Ming is out 1 week for a 1 week score.

I'm keeping shoes, and Max King's status doesn't even enter the discussion.

I can't field 17, so any score I get from Hughes is better than nothing. R15 covered easily and then he'll be useful in 16, and possibly 17 too.

Can easily stabilise his price over a few weeks, so don't even think it will cost a lot of cash

I'm with you. I need him this week anyway but the hope is there his minutes return for a 30 odd score. Plugs a hole in 16 as you say too.

Would you trade Hughes to say, Fainu if you didn't need Hughes in your 17 this week? I guess the only scenario I will need Hughes is if King (or for some reason Carrigan doesn't back up) is out, but if I do the trade then Fainu can go in.

Just a bit concerned about how much cash Hughes will lose and Fainu will make if I don't make the move this week.

I'm still tossing up also if Fainu is still a trade in. He looked pretty solid last game. Hughes to him is probably a minor upgrade but luxurious at the same time. If you don't need Hughes in your 17 and don't need him for 16, probably okay.

Surprised at the interest in Fainu this week (disclaimer, owner since he was first named to start). Seems like hes priced about where he will average

Bought him ages ago....he plays in my 17, I don't expect him to make much more $, he has DPPP......it is not exciting.

Yeah, I do honestly have some concerns about Fainu scoring wise. But his DPP along with the bye coverage is a big attraction and the fact he plays 80 every week means he has more of a chance to go big. The price difference between the 2 right now is 70k but next week it could be up to 120k+ and it will only be my second trade for the week so may look to do it. I want to spend the least amount of money I can since I would like to bring in Aitken next week.

The only downside of your double Storm edge combo is definitely round 19. Other than that, clear sailing.

yes I acknowledge I've now mortally wounded my new recruit EKat with my comment above - I take no responsibility or liability for any damages.

I have thoroughly enjoyed my Storm double edge adventure. Would recommend it.

However another poor score from Blore could end the adventure, as I have my eye on Aitken next week if this happens.
