Teammates and club staff want him gone. 👀

    The entire article:

The Brandon Smith saga at the Sydney Roosters is far from over despite players and officials all saying the politically correct things to the media.

Smith was issued with a breach notice by the club for missing a team meeting last week. But that issue is the tip of the iceberg - Roosters officials and players are both fed up with Smith's antics and want him out of the club.

The star hooker hasn't settled into Sydney life - on or off the field - since leaving Melbourne at the start of last season.

The Roosters paid a fortune for his services, but now would be more than happy for another club to take him off their hands.

classic example of a player (and there have been a fair few) where you should ignore late season surge in stats where they're in a shit team playing other shit teams in high scoring encounters.

Talau ownership bias no doubt, but I feel Talau has been one of the best for Manly this year, seems a very consistent performer.

On his podcast James Graham asked him about the incident directly, and tbh his story/excuses sounded pretty bs. Blamed his partner for leaving his phone at home cuz she gets mad and that's why he missed all the calls and messages. Then goes on to say he knows ultimately he should have checked the schedule, but he figured bye round would be diferent to a usual week. He did say that it was essentially "strike one" and everyone gets 3 breaches as per warnings in other jobs but yeah. Was laughing it off by the end. Called it a "big misunderstanding". So who knows really. Where there's smoke, there's fire imo

In theory, I agree 100%. But if that were the case, wouldn't it be logical to be getting Koula used to playing FB now?

In such an irritating season of Fantasy, this Koula thing is probably still the most annoying part of it for me. All green lights seemed ready to go, he misses a week and suddenly the dream is over. It's not even like Hopoate's been that sensational that he has to keep his spot and keep Koula at bay. Don't get me wrong, he's been solid/serviceable, but I thought Koula was first choice FB replacement for a reason.

Anyway, I'm trading him out this week which means he'll be FB next week and for the rest of the season, if you want the inside scoop.

I think it is coming down to the alternatives. Is hopa fb and koula ctr better for the team than koula fb talau ctr and one of paulo/vaega wing. Whilst Koula is probs the best fb of the group the team is better overall with him covering centre and hopa at fb

PNG just seems impossible. Lack of funding, infrastructure, security issues etc.

Perth makes most sense, if you’re not going to go for another Brisbane team

Even if they manage to make the infrastructure work players will straight up not want to play for PNG

Raiders, Cowboys and Warriors already have trouble attracting talent and they are a much better proposition than living in a compound in PNG.

Would end up a squad made up of NSW/QLD cup journeymen, players too good for super lague but not good enough for NRL (Bevan French, Jai Field types) and money chasers like Matterson. Would be relying heavily on local talent to make up the difference

Heath Mason will make his debut for the tigers this weekend along with Miller. Very versatile has played fullback in the halves and lock. With all the galvin talk and injuries to our other halves wouldnt be surprised to see him move in to the halves when da silva needs a rest and api back to hooker. Source, His mum Jules

No doubt he's a problem, and we'd be better off without him it seems, no denying that. Just thought the article NRLonNine posted on twitter that Rabbits posted her was poor form.

Quite likely the PNG team may be based somewhere like Cairns and then maybe fly over there for some games

Lemmy gone a bit under the radar? Averages close to 50 and priced at 38

Hopgood to Aitken would be pretty sideways eh? His injury concerns me and missed a few games coming up.

45 this season in 4 games edge minimum 70 mins. Only ran over 100m once and missed 6 tackles in 2 games. Is spot locked? What happens to Kaufusi when JBrom back?

Potentially high floor centre keeper otherwise too mid range

I considered him round 11 but would have been overloaded on Raiders/Dolphins/Roosters for round 14. Still a decent buy now but I'd be expecting closer to 45 than 50

as an owner for a little while, he feels a bit like 'no mans land'. he'll probably hang around all year for me now due to trade situation, and he'll score well enough to never be a problem, but never well enough to be a 'keeper'.

certainly capable of some big scores though, so fingers crossed.
