Who was the two head that had the attitude of QLD get Origin because they don't make changes?

Don't really understand the Cobbo surprise. apart from one or two runs he was extremely lazy and lethargic lacking effort. Slow peeling off tackles and not getting to marker, slowly jogging into the line taking an age to play the ball or pass from DH, getting burnt on the outside by Liam Martin. Would not surprise if it's the same rationale as the fifita omission.

Probably should get Campbell, extra player 16/19 but trade off is likely play short 17 and of course costs a trade.
Currently have 10 for R19 but nobody at WFB. Plus need Hynes + I guess Cleary. Not enough trades for this

Slater revealed on Monday morning that Cobbo has been playing with a few niggling injuries, but said he opted to "give him a rest" due to a number of issues with his game. "I have no doubt Selwyn will be back in a Queensland jersey soon," he said.

Honestly I never really got where that came from

The only time QLD don't make changes is when there is no one else available (Maybe they also don't make changes at the behest of a bunch of red faced hacks)
The main difference is that there isn't 3 weeks of very public debate about selections between games, undermining the incumbent players confidence and throwing shade on the new selections

Yeah it’s this.
Acknowledging some of that may be driven not by “getting” Origin, but having a shallower group of players to choose from - harder to speculate when there’s 25 players max in the mix.quality over quantity
Maybe” getting Origin” is also just about going about your shit. NSW does a lot of navel gazing about getting Origin, Origin players etc. which is all code for “be more like QLD”.
Aside from McInnes dropping out, at least the NSW changes aren’t too reactionary this time. Although I do think Hynes has been treated shabbily

Capewell probably makes a better fist of playing in the backs than Fifita

A prime example of this has been how Moses was the obvious selection and a definite upgrade on Hynes and as soon as he's picked the focus turns to his 'slow return from injury' and how he hasn't been killing it

I have 12 playing this week with this my list of non players
Garrick - helps me alot in 19
Latrell - origin and top guy in his spot
Hands - making cash
Sharpe - making cash
Cotter - origin
Grant - origin, too cheap to sell
Carrigan - origin
Iro - bye
Brown - bye
I was orginally thinking move on Garrick but he helps me alot in 19 and is a keeper.
Cotter has been playing 65-70 minutes a week including origin and he misses 16 + 19 which are his bye weeks so he is going to get no weeks off.
Im thinking at some point he will have to get reduced minutes/ miss games.
I would move him to Aitken/Herbie who help me in 16 + 19 (no other Dolphins) I am currently one short in round 16 and 19 so this would solve that.
then I would look to pick up Haas and Yeo ideally after origin as better mids.
Am i just looking for a guy to move out to make 13 or does selling him make complete sense?
Ranked 170 so pushing hard.

Everyone - Poster 2 is a piece of shit for wishing that on player y. On Poster 1 "crickets".
Par for the course around here.
Hey Mattnz,
I can see why you get defensive on here - you do tend to draw a lot of pushback.
That said mate, I'd like to clarify my comment about Origin and NSW players resorting to dog-shots.
My point was to communicate my disgust at Sualli's high-shot on Walsh.
I am a completely biased Blues fan (just look at the random shite I posted during the games in 2023) but at no point do I agree that intentionally taking out a Queensland player (nor would I accept the reverse happening) is OK.
If NSW want to win the Origin series, they must beat Queensland on the score board, and that means beating them with their best players. Not reducing themselves to dog-shots.
I apologise if my comment was seen as supporting or suggesting this type of tackle is OK just because it's in an Origin game.
The Bludger.
