This is strange advice coming from a guy who wants to trade in Reuben Porter
Porter isnt averaging 16 in his position.

If he scores 16 this weekend, it would be his second highest score.

But I specifically highlighted the part of your post suggesting there was poor job security and a chance of getting dropped

Its risk reward, why pay $230k for a guy who could be dropped and if he isn't averages 16 in the position he is named, vs paying $244k for a guy that is currently starting EDG, getting decent minutes and should score decently if he holds that position until Bateman returns.

Very different risk / reward profiles. One is medium risk / high reward, the other is medium risk / low reward.

I have 10 this week (for now) but one is Koula so make it a generous 9.5.

Will just be rolling with that, no trades. Until two of them are late outs that is.

Yeah, if you have one trade left at this point, the only sensible way to spend it is to forget the byes and find someone underpriced who, if all stars align, is a potential keeper in their position. You can't really do an up-and-down trade when the "up" half is in four weeks time.

If you're selling Kelma and have zero bank, then the list of possible keepers is Tago, Wighton and (here's the banter move) Talakai.

Just to be clear , I am not advocating trading in Faataape either.

I think the sensible option is to hold trades

As much as I've enjoyed Koula's scoring at CTR these last couple weeks, he is getting traded to Tedesco

Matt you remind me of my mate who never has any money and the second he does have money he feels compelled to use it. That is you with trades.

Hold the trade because in all likelihood in the next week or 2 you will have a high priced player get injured that you won't be able to trade for an equivalent.

I've got 8 this week with 7 trades left and I'm not making any trades as a h2h player because it won't benefit my team long term. I'm just taking the L and chilling, you should do the same.

Or ignore me and trade in some dud it will be more funny for me next week

Garrick to keeper playing R16 and R17 (Teddy, Tapine, Mahoney) is pretty sideways isn’t it? The latter two would play 2 extra games…

I have 12 before trades (5 left) and then 4 bye/Grant & Cotter Origin backup for 17 so trying to ease load there.

I don't mind Garrick to Teddy in that scenario but it's really only 1 extra game once you factor in rd19 right.

Garrick to Teddy should be an upgrade irrespective of byes as long as you don't need the DPP?

Manly have a good run home.

DPP Garrick should be handy to have
Playable as starter in CTR or WFB.

Technically there will be better players available , but I doubt that bringing them in is the best use of a trade for any of us.

Sitting here thanking the RNG gods that I'm able to field 13 green dots and don't have to trade this week. Bitch of a week to be trading.

Anyone reckon Carrigan and/or Haas back up in New Zealand less than three days after Origin? Broncos kind of need wins, but it's a big ask.
