How long is Meaney out? I think nrlphysio said if minor strain 1-3 weeks which wouldn’t mean enough time for Howarth

    Smith is at number 18.

To justify my Howarth trade in, here's my reasoning:

    * He looked so good at centre last weekend, never thought he'd actually do that at NRL level (always been more of a back rower) but he showed why he's so hyped. Obviously just one game but he passes the eye test.

    * Meaney has a calf injury and is likely out until R20 (after the bye), so Howarth has got at least an extra 2 games to make his case to keep the spot.

    * If there are any injuries to either Blore or Ekat, there's a chance he would move into that spot.

    * Worst case, if Howarth doesn't keep the spot he just acts as a cashout. Mikaele's 15 point games aren't really much of an upgrade on that so might as well take the cash to use elsewhere.

Well that’s a no go then.

Maybe I’ll just punt on Sharpe hope he brains it next 2 weeks meaning they hold off on Ponga another week or that Sharpe plays so well that they move him to Tuala wing when KP is back.

Green Machine on Xwitter saying that Weekes to fullback, Rapa wing, Cook to come in at half.

Hopefully true and leads to Weekes hanging around after Fog is back

So much for my Weekes and Fuller fund to bring in Hynes and Cleary.

Nasty head cut for Grant, wouldn't be surprised he gets rested.

Would Meaney replace Anderson or Howarth when he comes back

Is Anderson considered primarily a winger or centre these days? He's played mostly wing in first grade, but his Storm profile lists him a a centre. But has Howarth overtaken him in the pecking order either way?

Having a cheap cash out that doesn't take the field this far from the end of the season is actually a pretty bad scenario.

I was already contemplating jumping off Weekes early this week

Rapana wasn't great at fullback on the weekend. Wasn't the only Raider to have a poor game, but will Ricky consider giving Chevy another run. He did some good things in origin last week

I don't think he'd fully drop out, more so meant if he ends up back on the bench. He provides good versatility so at worst I think he'd keep the final bench spot. That said, I wouldn't do this trade if I didn't genuinely believe he can nail down the centre spot.

They would not have put him there last week if they didn't think he was a good option there (they would have just had Anderson there and Fa'alogo on the wing)

So, we have Strange and a rookie halfback steering the team around? Is this Cook a kicker, or is Strange expected to take more of a leadership role? His game obviously didn't show glimpses he could control a game. I own him so some extra KM's wouldn't hurt, I will say.

Adam Cook still in NSW Cup team but could change. I thought I asked about him on here ages ago if he might come into side and someone replied he's not in the squad proper.

Also if Rapana moves to wing what a dud trade I made last week. He was getting smoked under the high ball every time though

Would love to see Weekes get the hybrid running fullback, primary kicker role that Latrell has.

Cook is the bulk kicker in NSW Cup team
