Understand what you are saying but the trade for norman is sidewayas butfor the bye coverage. Without the bye coverage i'd be less likely to make the trade as I don't think I would like to end the season with Norman.

So, whether he is fit when the bye rounds pop up is very relevant. I may be better off trading him then and leaving Cody Walker on the pine. Its a lot of cash doing nothing though.

fair point but given you are making the trade now then it isn't really going to help for you to speculate about potential injuries for the next 5 weeks. As you said you might be better off holding Walker than making a bad trade. Problem is that I think a TMM trade is poor, too sideways plus risk of wasting a trade with Seggy coming back soon. Or you downgrade completely but you will use that cash up in the next 5 rounds so if you want to have bye coverage in your halves come bye time you will either need to have Norman/Foran in by round 12 or you need a way of getting the money to upgrade your nuffie.

He might, he can ball play, but Ray Thompson should be back, Kostjasyn could play in halves again with Chudleigh bench hooker, or Coote to halves with Ponga at back, and I don't see him playing in the prop rotation. It's possible but I think he probably plays the same role as he does now. From memory he played in the halves last year, but I think Thompson and Lui were injured and Chudleigh and Ponga not ready yet.

It was Kostjaysn and Thompson in the halves last year and then Lui and Thompson when Lui recovered from injury

Speaking of Asiata, He's not getting the minutes he did last year because Kostjaysn is getting them. The 2 HKR's ar playing about 110-120min between them and not leaving enough for Asiata.

Also, when Scott and Tamou are released to Origin, Hannant and Bolton will step up into starters, but who replaces them on the bench, if I knew for certain, they would become a good downgrade for a cashie. I'm thinking Kaufusi

Anything could happen further in the season but I wouldn't plan on having Hastings and Taylor as keepers at this stage. Remains to be seen how Hastings performs once Pearce returns, while Taylor has shown at the start of the year that he can have a fair few average games. Yes they have picked it up at the moment and the duo have put up gun scores the last two weeks but seeing them sustain it over the season will be key, especially when you get to bye period and round 18 when you are looking to finalize your team and a few guns halves have bottomed out.

He may well but at this stage I'm treating him as though he'll need trading post-origin.

for your halves at the end of the year you probably want two or three of:

    Johnson
    JT
    Mbye
    Hunt
    DCE (maybe)

Taylor will probably end up staying in quite a few teams though as people run out of trades.

not that it makes much difference but Spina's a backrower, and is too expensive for a downgrade for 2 weeks use

well they had to do something to get lolo's hands on the ball more. tbh i think he would be great in the centres, possibly with leulaui organising in the halves.

with both of them in the halves it means SJ will probably have to play more of a organising role?

Careful one of the Cowboys backup forwards used big time last origin is out injured for the year. Not sure it might have been Hess

I just know if i do it he'll go large against the eels, but if i keep him he'll lose 50k?
