DONT trade him out. Trust me, look at what happened to Merrin owners who jumped ship.

well i've got taupau and i'm holding him. a 27 from him was rubbish but you've gotta ride his scores.

never expected him to score 50's week in week out. he's more a 35-40 point player for 3 weeks then bust an 80 or so..

Trading Tapau is worse than trading Merrin. Everyone knew his scores would fluctuate when they bought him

I'm trading Taupau out because we think he's a Sith lord... totally nothing to do with his scores

So, here's my team with eleven R12 bye players in italics:

    Cam, Parcell
    JBrom, Graham, Packer, Evans
Mannering, CP13, Surgess, Jaifiti, Bateman, Bhana
    Hastings, Bunt, Taylor, Feeney
    Roberts, Aitken, Holland, PatMat
    Barba, TTrbo, Latrell, Gutho, Bowen

So I guess the theory should be: Parcell out for Peats, then TTrbo and Evans out, plus Bhana if he's still not getting a game. That would leave me with the bare 17 for R12.

I reckon there's no chance of Barba playing Origin this year and doubtful he ever gets a go.

Personally I think his form has been overrated - yeah he's been better than the dross he served up the past few seasons but nothing to gush over.

Surely nobody seriously thinks he will make origin at all. Sure the year he won a Dally M I would have liked to see him get a run but that ship has long sailed. Inglis, Boyd, Morgan, Munster even Milford at fullback are all better options.

Barba makes me stress. He gets all his fantasy scores in 2 or 3 plays per game. He is hard to watch. He's always near the ball in attack but seldom does anything

Yeah, im one of the guys who kept Merrin too. I was prepared to take Tapau's poor games but 34 and 27 are pushing it for a guy who was 450k.
I Suppose its more about the way Manly are using him (or NOT using him) atm. He runs so many lines and holes but they just dont give it to him. The opposition wont run at him either.
So frustrating watching Manly, and i hate Manly which makes it even more painfull! Mad

Yeah no chance of origin. I was more focused on the point regarding his BE and his bye schedule. Had not considered trading him at this point. In fact I didn't really have a plan for him at all. He is just existing at the moment.

A couple more low scores from Taupau and he will be juicy for bringing in.
    Mannering as well

It is frustrating owning Taupau at the moment his base stats in his first 3 games were all up on last year, I was hoping for less of the dross and even his low attaching output games would be in the 40s due to that but on the edge you get the low scores sometimes perhaps 60 at lock would be where his fantasy season bursts back into life

Do you think it'd be a big risk putting the R on Brenton Lawrence this week? He gets the minutes, he gets the scores but that's the problem, he might not get the minutes.

Any Roosters fans think Abraham Papalli might hang around for a bit with the SST injury?
He looked quite impressive in his 9 minute stint last week and would be a great downgrade option.
Concerns would be the returns of Cordner and JWH.

He is purely a cash cow for mine, once he has peaked he is gone.

But how does he get the minutes if he doesn't get the scores?
You need the minutes to get the scores but his scores don't deserve the minutes.
It's the chicken vs the egg all over again .......

Ps I have him too, just give him 40 mins Barrett ffs (or wait for a lussick brain explosion)
