But, I'd probably go Cheese over him long term if your not worried about byes.  The price is hard to ignore IMO.

Yeah fair enough, but if we're comparing Cheese and Egan, there's no competition.

I'm fully up to be scammed by the Cheese. (but just bad timing for me, so will have to wait till R20... maybe...)

As far as I can tell, it seems Robbo has him as a 60 min guy, but that always seems to result in a 40-45 average which is pretty good value for a guy priced at about 33 (@MN of 13000).
In a year where you'd pretty happily take a 50 average from the Hooker position, getting a guy that's likely within 10 points of the best options at a $437k price, seems like a pretty good deal.

Yeah that is true. I'm just holding Grant and Hands because the hooker position isn't worth wasting money or trades in unless I'm forced to.

Also if David Fifita gets a run? You would assume he does instead of capewell?

Cook:  Ironman Cook has played 56 games since start of 2022.  He is priced about 5 points below the three year average but about his '24 average.   Stats say gun for position, but not much upside - especially a concern if bunnies fall away.

Api: Another ironman has played 57 games since start of 2022.  He is priced at about his 3 year and 1 year average.  Just below gun tier, and not much upside.

Smith:  Smith has played 53 games since start of 2022 (29 as starting hooker). He is priced about 5 points below his 3 year and 1 year average scores.  As starting hooker he is priced 11 points below his 3 year average and 8 points below his 24 average.  Stats say plenty of upside if he starts at hooker.  Risk is Watson taking more minutes than previous share hookers.

Egan:  Injury prone Egan has played 52 games since start of 2022.  He is priced about 6-8 points below his 3 year and 1 year average scores.  As starting hooker he is priced 12 points below his 3 year and 1 year average.  Stats say the highest upside of hookers assessed, with only slightly higher risk of injury.  Also good job security.

    I'm leaning to Egan.....

Had the same issue with the JMK injury, I’ve taken the punt on Starling, to bank some $$

Olam playing probably disrupts lots of teams.

thanks for this - I'd assumed last DPP update would align with the 8 extra trades. But I was wrong.

If I were in AOB's shoes, I'd be sitting Ponga down for 1 more week.

Don't own Sharpe, but it makes sense to protect his greatest asset.

Look at Blayke Brailey. Undervalued due to playing in the halves, pretty sure he is the only hooker playing 80 minutes each week, and scoring well.

Robson and Mahoney immediately spring to mind, plus JMK before the unfortunate injury.

Then pretty much Cook since Hornby took over, and Api once he shook off his injury...

(They all have better averages too)

Either gonna get Koula + Bateman or Haas + cashout (Tuala?).

I wonder if it's not better to just get the gun in and deal with the rest later.

One of the main reasons I got Cook this week is he has no more byes. Blake Bailey was tempting but then I potentially have no hooker for rd20
