I think he dips out for the same reason that Fensom doesn't get picked. He's not big enough & NSW opt for bigger bodies. It's a rubbish rational because Qland have picked smaller players due to the selection pool being smaller & they have always performed.

    Can't see it.

You have Tamou as guaranteed starter as well as Fifita and Klemmer as possible bench options. You've then got Gal probably going to the front row and Merrin starting at lock. That is 5 guys who can all rotate in and out of the prop roles. Plus someone like Friz could easily play there for 10 minutes or so depending on how you use the bench if he makes it

I was reading the late mail on weapons & DCE is a long shot to play tonight although it probably won't happen due to Koroisau playing so well so Barrett is in no rush. I have Taupau as well & I 'm thinking of selling for JDB but now I'm in 2 minds as DCE could be back very soon.

I would argue that Fensom doesn't make it because he isn't talented enough. There are enough tacklers there. Woods, Gallen, Merrin all put up very solid tackle numbers. So then you look at what does Fensom bring that guys like Bird, Hoffman, Fifita don't and as much as a great club player who always gives it his all, he just doesn't stack up at the next level.

Same for Tolman. There was a year where he was very unlucky to miss out but besides that, he has just been unfortunate there have been better options. Not necessarily better players but better options for the makeup of the side. Tamou had a great origin so won't be ahead of him. Gal is captain so won't beat him. Klemmer is the prototype for mean, hard running, take no prisoners forward and he won't go and Fifita brings that x-factor. Woods isn't good enough in my opinion to somehow be guaranteed a spot when fit, but even still, Tolman is just unlucky that there appears to already be players in who meet the workhorse role and he doesn't offer enough extra to get a spot on those benefits

Fair call. Going with Graham personally anyway, Tolman was good but should have done a bit more last year when I had him, so a bit off him.

Would hold Taupau. You brought him for his 80, 30, 30, 60 to average 50 so just let him do that. If you were after a consistent scorer week to week who can occasionally go big you should have got someone else.

On another note, DCE as a long shot. Will be very tempting to reserve him if he does play as you would imagine he will still put up at least 30 odd in base stats

If true then DCE back on time next week. Will be an interesting TLT if so.

On non NRL related news, anyone else watching the basketball right now. Golden State just beat the Bulls record, and Kobe just hit a clutch 3 to give the Lakers the lead in his final game. Currently on 60 points for the game

Still a risky call if you play him tonight given he would appear to be rushed back quickly.

Especially over other common options thrown around like TMM, Mitchell, BLaw, Grant just to name a few

Worse case Tolman gets called up for origin, will ride his price up and exchange for someone else.
Would assume if he is playing well to get selected, he will go up in price.

Excellent career by the Black Mamba. What a way to go out as well. Awesome clutch 3 and even the go ahead 2 was baller.

Are you rushing Carter out to avoid his price drop this week? The fact he is in the 17 again is a good sign, but I do understand he is going to lose some cash.

So was Carter to Edwards a cash out to achieve that next week? If so then yes, probably worth the risk of whether Edwards gets many games or not then if the end goal is Mannering or JDB.
