I can't believe people thought Howarth grounded it, one frame later and the ball is well in the air. What do they think they saw? Honestly shocks me.

If you think that’s being mad about it, then go for your life I guess, though personally I don’t consider myself mad, just bored, it’s boring watching the same team win in the same boring grindy games for 4 years on repeat, this grand final and the resulting winner has been telegraphed since mid-season and there has been absolutely no drama since then, I mean I don’t know what to tell you, I can’t just stop myself from feeling less invested in the sport than I ever have, that’s just how I feel.

But it turns out the Bunker was looking at a different replay angle that showed the ball didn’t touch the ground. The footage has been shown to media at the ground but is yet to be released publicly.

NCA Newswire’s Martin Gabor tweeted: “Fair play to the NRL. We’ve been shown a high resolution replay and there is no point when the ball touches the ground. Jack Howarth did NOT score. I thought it was definitely a try at the time.”

WT Winfield wrote:I was enjoying it up until the Howarth no try. Both teams seem to stick to their gameplan and were good defensively. I thought Panthers might get away when they snatched the lead before HT and opened the 2nd half strong, but Storm stuck in there and hit back through Howarth.. but enter the bunker and I kinda zoned out as more time passed and Panthers scored the game winner.
G’Day mate I’m not sure why anyone is shocked I’ll try not carry on too long but we shouldn’t be shocked I’m not it was Atkins in the bunker say no more he shouldn’t be allowed to officiate on games Penrith play in that’s the honest truth he is a member of the Penrith refs association too. To me it was a no brainer Gee or Gerry Sutton should’ve been bunker. That’s taking nothing away from Penrith they’re truly a juggernaut.

And I see Annesley has come out drawling it’s the correct call with a frame hello you imbecile the frame before shows it’s a clear try. If that happens up other end and Penrith do that Atkins would rule try.

As for Nathan Cleary I’m speechless what can you say……. He’s the best I’ve ever seen.

Also I’ve been waiting 5 years for Penrith to show they’re just a little tired in a game they don’t they get stronger as the game goes. I don’t think we will see this replicated in the rest of our lifetimes.

Also mate thanks for your help on fantasy this year mate and vice versa I’ve really enjoyed and appreciated it. I’m so happy for you with how you ranked.

Just checked Bundy Mixer mate I was hoping DK would make top 5 he’s finished 6th I’m so proud of him. I’ve finished 13th mate when I saw I’d gone up from 21st to finish 13th after today I had tears in my eyes so proud to finish 13th and I think second in the fanatics mixer League.

Looking forward to seeing this special angle that only the bunker and media are allowed to see. I mean its only the biggest game of the year.

    Best team won btw.

They really couldn't stop saying how good the game was, it was becoming laughable. Good defensive final, I enjoyed it. I have absolutely zero idea how a league fan isn't enjoying the dynasty. Whatever the excuse or reason, they are the team on top, doing it the best for 4 years.

Fuck yeah, nice work in the Mixer mate cheer I appreciated the fantasy and footy talk this year too. Thanks mate. Inbox is always open to you or anyone else. Taking a break from fantasy, but will be around even if not posting regularly.

At least the shit ref calls will be more bearable without fantasy implications Laughing

I saw some HD replay of Howarth's try on Twitter, but then it crashed after 1 viewing. Did see some arm/elbow kinda under there, but still can't see how some part of the ball wasn't grounded there. I was happy for either team winning a close one, slightly more favouring Storm, but killed my interest live when what looked like a clear try was denied.

Mate the frame the NRL are showing is the one after the frame where it shows the ball grounded. I’m certain it’s a try. Thanks mate for that I put big effort into the mixer. I’ll be taking a break too but I’ll message ya over the off season of I need a chat or anything.

Enjoy the off season mate and chin up the signings the Tigers have coming you’ll have much more joy next year.

Storm get Uto and keep the squad together they’ll be right up there again. You’d think Penrith drop a bit JFH, Luai and Turuva big losses but I Pap and Tuilagi coming in aren’t slouches and will fit in well to their systems they’ll be up there again if not top 4 just outside it.

I wish all the tries were overturned and the fact that they aren’t makes me think it’s a conspiramacie run by the refs (who may all be lizards)

There’s way too many tries in ‘the modern game’*

*copyright….blokes on tv who aren’t old enough to remember the semi professional game  & are also prone to using yards as a measure when they don’t actually have a clue what a yard is

Early in the piece obviously but doesn’t really seem to be standout shit team on paper for 2025 (insert Souths joke)

Sportsbet already posted 2025 premiership odds (lol) and Raiders were highest at $81 which seems silly given Fogarty was massive for them when available. If I was to guess Titans, Warriors maybe the 2 weakest, surely Tigers improve next year
