Actual spot the crash was is near my place & is a bit of a prick. You're turning down into a weird Bardon style little split street that snakes along the side of a ridge so it's pretty hard to see anyone coming out the other way until they actually hit the main road. It runs 30 degrees off the main road so 'veering onto the wrong side of the road' is sort of essential if you want to make the turn off. He was probably going a bit too fast and the Uber was probably going a bit too fast but the headline "Cars collide in bread and butter accident with no one seriously injured' probably doesn't read that well.
TLDR : Its all pretty dumb on his part but I doubt he gets sacked unless he was off his trolley at the time and wearing his Daly M jacket.

My Sister is very sick in hospital with pneumonia and influenza A she’s immune deficient she’s been in hospital 3-4 days will be a while in there. If we didn’t call the ambulance and left it she was at risk of dying left untreated. Temp was 39.6 too and rising.
So I can do with the distraction etc keeping up with the latest NRL news etc keeps me sane right now.

The ridiculous tabloid bits are the family saying Mam hasn’t contacted them - meanwhile their names are withheld and faces blurred for legal reasons, so that might give a hint why a possible defendant in the same legal matter might not just be wanting to have a quick chat about it all. But is framed like Mam is an uncaring monster.
Then the Uber driver says the Broncos haven’t contacted him and it’s like, well yeah, if you have a collision with a bloke working for Woolies I don’t expect a call from the deli counter. Although the club did contact the family and were great according to the family, so maybe throw Uber a couple of tixs or a jersey or something.

framed in such a way* to be as dramatic as possible. paid handsomely to give their interviews. whole situation sucks for everyone involved but its slightly better to be crashed into by a broncos player (especially one the club *probably* wants to keep), than a 21yr old nobody kid from the burbs.

Also, on the odd chance in this scenario it was actually Benny Hunt that caught Ezra on the run, then the headline writes itself...I CANT BELIEVE HUNT ACTUALLY CAUGHT SOMETHING AT THE BRONCOS MAM...

The media in Syd has basically been saying Hunt to Broncos - it did start 12+ months ago he wanted to go to QLD for family reasons - or Bulldogs, because winning and money I guess.
If I was the Dragons I would do a Hunt to Mam swap straight up (if he promises not to run into anymore Ubers). The part of the story I like there is talking about Hunt returning to Broncos for “redemption”. It’s a hell of a leap to think the Broncos will be good enough for Hunt to actually catch a kickoff in a big moment.
Dragons and Bulldogs player swap is trickier. A Sexton/Flanno Bulldogs ressies reunion is not exciting, even if we save 5-700k cap space.
