I’m sensing might be a little sarcasm in that?robelgordo wrote:

You were after Wishart, Douiehi or Atkinson but might have to settle for Ilias.
Look age is on his side his defence is pretty good, he’s a solid build short kicking game has shown signs he has one, he has a good attitude. Issues are he looks to slow with the ball etc lacks creativity, long kicking game not too good and has plenty of errors in him. I’m not fully convinced he’s a 7 but there is a player there. Souths don’t have the time to keep waiting on him and I believe Wayne didn’t want him but he’s not a fully lost cause put it that way. But he needs lots of work if he’s gonna be a long term 7. I do think JD wasn’t a good coach for him too.

I actually have no strong feelings about Ilias. He’s a decent half who wasn’t as good as Adam Reynolds and now won’t be as good as Ben Hunt. A decent option given the current state of our halves

Throwing out some post Season bait, but how damned good will it be not to have to deal with Manly fans.

Given they won't travel across the Sydney Harbour Bridge, kinda amazed any of them go the length of the Pacific Hwy

Meant to ask at the time, but where did you visit ? Give us a run down
Im off to the US tomorrow with final destination being Colombia (bogota/pereria/medellin). Spending a bit of time in New Orleans and Mexico (yucatan and cdmx) as well.

Trip went
Rome - Lucca - Venice - Ljubjana - Zagreb - Split - Dubrovnik - Paris - London - Cirencester - Liverpool with a bunch of day trips in here and there. About 6 weeks all up.
Took the whole family, and we all had a great time. The kids handled it pretty well too, being on the move a lot. Youngest found some of the big walking days a bit tough going, kept enough in there to keep them interested
Croatia was the highlight, never been before and the country is just amazing. Family took turns passing a stomach bug* around our time in Split which meant we had to take it pretty easy for a few days, but was still good.
Cinque Terra in Italy also stunning and well worth a visit.
This was probably my favourite photo from the trip. Old bridge in Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina
*We were in plitvice lakes (beautiful spot, highly recommend) and after a bit of a walk was on a ferry across the lake. Chatting tpo a guy from Epping (maybe 10 minute drive from my house back in Sydney) was I was randomly sitting next to. Hadn't eaten all day and was feeling a bit woozy, the guy found out I was a Liverpool fan and we were just talking about Salah and Fantasy EPL, and next thing I know the whole boat was staring at me because I just blacked out for a bit. Missed the 2nd half of the lakes in an ambulance getting my fluids up via IV drip.
Kids got sick too but nothing as dramatic as that

I've seen that bridge mentioned many times as a must see, looks awesome!
Just on the stomach issues-in these instances is being a Ruminant beneficial or detrimental?

Enjoy the trip mate. A little worried about you already stating Colombia will be your final destination though...

If you can squeeze it while you are on in Yucatan jump on a ferry from Chetumal to Caye Caulker for a few days. Little island paradise

Newcastle is one of the few current NRL grounds I've never been to - really should make the trip up there one day (Townsville being the other big omission)

Well I never actually threw up. I just fainted instead. Guess the extra stomach capacity came in handy.
But the kids both chucked their guts up at some point.
You decide which is better.
If you do go to Mostar - there's a mosque just down the road with a minaret you can climb. The stairs up are really narrow, and at the top the platform is not very big. But the view it gives you of the town/bridge is fantastic - that's where I took that photo from.
