Who would the best cashout option for the FR be? Was looking at Ese'ese but on the bench could see him get shit minutes. What about Kaufusi from the Cows? Could see a few good minutes. If not maybe JJ from the Tigs?

Bhana's name at least being there is promising. I thought Smith did his bicep or something, so hopefully he doesn't play and Bhana comes in. I have the R on him in hope.

I was a bit concerned about my halves being on the cheap side... then I realised I had BBQ and Feeney.
Once Teddy's back Barba can move to the halves and might get an upgrade for a gun half after origin.
Feeney still becoming useful

That QLD team is shit hot. I hope the origin has an appropriate rating because this first game is going to be some snuff level brutality. Thank god Loz did us a solid and left us unmolested I wouldn't want any of our lads exposed to that beating.

I have Kaufusi as I picked him up a few weeks ago and thought he might score decent but if you are considering him you might want to think about whether you want a player who will go back to scoring low after the byes or one that will disappear all together. Kaufusi might be hanging around as a potential poor AE come the end of the year, whether that matters to you or not I cant say but that's all I can add to the question sorry.wolfking wrote:Bhana's name at least being there is promising. Re: 2016 NRL.com Fantasy Thread Part 34
In regards to ET. Every year we say he's just a tackle bag but I thought he ran with purpose against the Knights & he made some strong hit ups. He also played like an extra half & got a couple of ta's. But we have to put this into perspective in that he was up against the bottom team. My concern with him is as SI mentioned he's pretty injury prone. Every season he puts up some good scores, everyone brings him in & then he shits on you & gets injured.

Im gonna be that guy and disagree. Its the weakest backline QLD has seen in a long time, and I think Gagai and ONeill are really gonna struggle.
Cooper deserved a spot over Guerra, start Cooper and Thaiday supersub off the bench.
Feldt/ONeill would have been better defensively.

I can only assume Ma'u got his score due to Scott being injured. He hasn't been pushing up good scores. We know what ET is capable of and could very quickly become a keeper/gun if given a chance.
Scott & Foran are in doubt this week I think.

It would be nice for Gagai to get another win this season... it will make him feel better

Same average/same price. So essentially you are using 1 trade for 40 points. Is that simplifying it too much, not sure if there is another factor I am missing. Allthough there is a better than average chance that he draws at least 1 more Sunday game when the last 6 Rounds are released-if you are looking for something to justify the trade. In fact he could end up with 3 of the last 6 games as Sunday games without drawing too much of a long bow.

I dropped ranking 6736 after breaking Jake Friend last weekend...
At least you guys should have a safe captaincy choice this weekend if you apply the loophole...
Maybe put the C on Jimmy?!

Yup all good for next week. Will still have lamb to move on but not urgent.SI wrote:
I think the temptation to have that 17 in a round where some are struggling to field 10 would be too strong for me to resist not using the trades. You are 100 points off 500th and 200 points off 200th. Just personally I would be doing it and then promising myself not to trade next round (you have 17 in 13 right?)

I have Bhana & although he's in with a chance if Smith is ruled out there's also the possibility that Rochow could return this week so I'm not too optimistic that Bhana will play.

Re: 2016 NRL.com Fantasy Thread Part 34
I agree Feldt and ONeill would have been the stronger selection as I'm still not sold on Gagai's defence. In saying that though I've seen a few people say this backline is our weakness this year and I think they are going to be very surprised. The outside men don't necessarily need to be individual superstars, if they are safe reliable finshers and our pack does their job, the spine will make them look like world beaters.charliemurphy wrote:

I've just been having a fiddle around with what three trades could do to my team with the view to the future, not going to make them but I'm not far off having a really solid team for the run home.
Smith. Parcell
Fifita, JBrom, Surgess
Whitehead, Frizzell, Mannering, ET
JT, Hunt, Norman
Aitken, Bird
Teddy, Semi, Mitchell, Barba

That average from Aitken is with his Injury -5 though right? Take that out and they don't look even to me.SI wrote:

Yeah, thanks man, that's not a huge deal for me, I don't take it that seriosly with the AE stuff, but definitely something to think about. I guess JJ is the same situation.
