I think it looked worse because the defenders had rushed up so the past went behind them.
Might have been a forward anyway, I had the same initial thoughts as you, but then didn't pay attention to the replay. but heaps worse get let go all the time. If jts the worst call made tonight we are doing OK

Did the refs get the word half way through that first half. Some of the softest origin penalties inthat first 20 minutes and then it seemed to taper off.
