Definitely overall mate. H2H is a lottery to which team scores well against you each week and would have astonishingly different results if the "dice" of drawing who in what rounds were cast differently. Overall is the true measure of your team, and of you yourself as a man.

Never a truer word has been spoken...ever...about anything...

I'd probably be happier not being so close to the leaders as then I could save trades rather than searching for points and taking gambles....1st world problems eh ;-)

Anyway...would appreciate thoughts for this week

6 trades left and 39k in hand...was going to do Holland -> Manu, JTrbo -> Merrin and Parcell -> Friend. 1st one is a gimmie cash out (altho could do Capewell for the extra 10k) but the other two are slight sideways trades looking for bye-round points

After those trades my team would be:
    Smith Friend
    Fifi JGraham Surgess JBrom
Merrin Mannering Whitehead Carty Ma'u Talakai
    Bunt SJ Feeney Hughes
    BJ Aitken Manu Copley
    Teddy Munster Semi Guth Eden

But only 3 trades left and 148k....feels like a little light on trades for the end run but they'd only be needed for injuries which never happen to main people right.......right........?

The other option is just cash out Holland now for Manu/Capewell and sit on the 5 trades and pile of cash for the home run and rely on Parcell/JTrbo to do the job

Im in a very similar position to you mate.. Only one or two different players. You gotta be hurting not picking up cleary when he came in though.. may be too late now.
I had that problem with holland when he first played thinking he can't keep up this form. but the fucker kept going.

You would have to expect other top 50 players will be using trades as well to maximise scoring players. My problem is bringing in cartwright or not. I never thought of him being in my final 17.
I would feel more comfortable with gallen. But he doesnt play this week. So the bye is sort of forcing these panthers trades on us.

I was thinking that not making a panthers trade may be a pod looking forward, because its such an obvious choice. and you never know with injuries to either of those players. but thats riskier then following the herd

Pick Cleary now if you haven't already. $320K or so isnt he? Still within range.

    Exactly.

So who is going to be your 3rd WFB keeper?  Are you going to drag Barba back down, or maybe fuck him off with/instead of Milf with Carty moving into your halves (if you can)?

Barba's bye coverage is what has kept him in my team.  But the Radradra thing is a worry too, honestly surprised he is still in the NRL.

    That's the only reason Barba is in my team also. Barba has been there down there all year, I just moved him up this week, so at this stage I'll drag him back down and possibly move Carty into the halves. I might look at;

    BJ CLaw
Aitken Munster Semi/Barba or an upgrade to Teddy

If Semi stays I'm happy to keep him if he can turn things around, but it is definitely a worry. Happy to run Aitken down there since my CTR pairing is solid and with Mitchell and Guth hanging around one of them can be turned into Teddy perhaps. Barba can stay if need be on the bench too. I did want to get rid of Claw, but when he is in the CTR's, there's no real need. Lots of options.

Actually, with the trades I have, Teddy coming in should be a no brainer in two weeks time, I'll think I'll aim for him. Although, I like Nofo as a POD too.

Interesting with running Guth in the final 17.

Was about to post my team and realised you had done the same as me-promoting Cleary to the 2nd half spot and relegating BHunt to Reserve. Shows how good the young fella has been travelling (and how shit BHunt has been).

I haven't watched much of him in the second half of the season/since he's gone to centre but his scores are there-or-thereabouts and I know he has the ability.

Have to leave myself short somewhere due to low trades and centre may as well be it.
I'm more worried about Barba than I am about Guth.

I mostly do it on averages if I know them. In my actual weekly teams I'll put the players playing last in my reserves.
Even averages aside though, Hunt lucky to be in my 17 at all lately. Ben K. Hunt.

The sole reason I didn't pick Cleary up at the start was it seemed like I didn't need a cash cow and had 2 "gun" halves already - I'm just hoping that Hunt's scores pick up...If he's totally lost his confidence (miss tackles are the main reason why his scores have been crap lately) then I may trade him to Cleary/Pearce - hoping not to have to burn a trade there tho (crosses fingers that Hunt's scores pick up asap)

I didn't grab Cleary till after his second game as was convinved Hook was just putting the shits up Soward, particularly after he had just fucked Seggers off as well. Gotta give the coach massive credit, he has made some big calls.

I've cashed Parcell out with his uncertainty. I am normally a MASSIVE advocate of running the 2 hookers but at this stage of the year I'm comfortable with it. Thing is I have a lot of average depth too so if I don't make these calls now I will end up with a couple of million sitting in my NPR's.

This pretty much is irrelevant to your question but I'm feeling very chatty today Embarassed
